Where's Penny? And The Implications of "The Hunt"

A vengeful Ben warns Widmore that he's gonna kill his daughter Penny - 'an eye for an eye', and all that - Widmore tells Ben that he'll never find her..

I found this facinating! I mean, where could she be that Ben wouldn't find her??

Has Widmore hidden her in another time...and place? That is, sent her back in time somewhere? But if so, this would surely prove that Widmore CAN time-travel without the island..which in turn suggests that either he is a temporal time lord (doubt it, but it sounds good, no?), or that he has other special places like the island in his possession..places that also have 'magic boxes', perhaps?

Anyway, that's only one suggestion that i can think of, and it's probably unlikely that he's hidden Penny in the past..or the future..

That said, he seemed VERY confident that Ben wouldn't be able to find her...

Anyone have any ideas on where Penny could be?

Also, how will this affect "the hunt" - will Ben take his eyes off the primary objective that is keeping the island safe, and thus cause Alpert to continue to worry that Ben is getting involved in "novelties", like the islands fertility problems and now going after Penny?

Ben must know all about Desmond and his past, therefore, all he would have to do is follow Desmond around until Des finds Penelope. lol Where Penny could be is anyone's guess! Perhaps there is another island and Widmore has hidden her away on it. Maybe, (hopefully) she is in hiding with Desmond. She may even be living with the Monks. The possibilities are endless.

It is odd that Widmore would say that. I mean unless he knew that Ben was going to threaten to kill his daughter, why would she already be hidden away? Could she be dead? Now you really have my curiousity going. Going to have to think about this one for a while.
