Please say you're joking I love how nobody is able to accept deaths on this show. Whenever it looks like someone is dead someone always has to say "...Aren't Dead!"

On a separate note, one huge downside to this season has to be the lack of a Sawyer flashback. I mean come on, did we really need Eggtown or There's No Place Like Home Part 1 flash wise?

You're right EC, but that just wouldn't have made for good television

Well, partly I didn't see much genuine emotion from Ben. I saw him listen carefully to what Keamy was saying, look down contemplatively and with a modicum of difficulty on hearing of the bomb, then suddenly fly out at Keamy with a bit of a melodramatic face on. 'So?' sounded genuine; his calmly reasoned waffle about 'bad command decisions' to Locke a few minutes later sounded rehearsed. Then again, my brother had just speculated as to whether Ben would be the one to blow up the freighter and sink all remnants and all evidence, so maybe my thinking about that possibility coloured my reading of what Ben subsequently did. But basically, knowingly and consciously (watch for his reaction to Keamy's information: he most definitely digested what was being said) sacrificing dozens of lives for the sake of your own desire for vengence was never going to win him any points with me, especially alongside the reminder that every sick thing he did in relation to the fertility experiments was a load of trivial and unnecessary garbage.

And at least Sawyer looked distraught after he killed Duckett.

no joke i think when we saw Sun and Hurley at Jin's grave she gave the impression that she still believe Jin is alive (just like Rose had faith that Bernard was still alive back in the day) and thats why she wants Widemore's help so she can back to the island and find him

i hadn't even noticed that Sawyer didn't get a flash and you are right he could have easily replaced the flashes on either of those episodes

Well that's probably the answer then. You may have seen Ben's replies actually said with some rationality and thought behind them. And whilst I'd usually tend to agree with you on anything concerning Mr. Linus, I personally saw everything Ben said as completely as it was said. I saw no alterior motive behind Ben's actions, merely emotion. I believe that Ben was governed by emotion rather than having any sort of rationality. I know that's rather strange and foolish to say about Ben but for once I believed his words, and I believed them to be said through emotion and with little thought behind them. That's not to say that you're wrong of course, Ben could very well have been in full control of himself, but for once I'll believe that Ben did what he did through pure emotion.

Murg I shall defend Sawyer on most views and the Duckett case is one of them. No argument from me on that front

Oh, I wasn't referring to the idea that Jin's not dead. That is completely plausible, even if I personally believe he is sleepng with the fishies. What I was referring to was the concept of him being catapulted into rang of the Island when it moved. That's just being silly

On the Widmore front, I believe that Locke saw Sun off-island and told her what caused the explosion - Ben killing Keamy. This would cause Sun to want to get revenge on Ben and what better way than to join his enemy. But the idea of Jin being alive is fully believable

I'm really struggling to get past the fact that Sawyer threw himself out of the helicopter. I have never, ever been so terrified in all my Lost life. I mean, his near execution in "I Do" was just pure, blind terror but I was rather calm. Last night, I was just hysterical.

And then Sawyer was half-naked, and with Juliet, and all was right in the world Anyways...

This episode was beautiful. I cried upon several occasions and spent most of the time screeching and shouting at the television. Granted, I felt it started a little slow but once we got going - the drama and emotion was incredible.

Pesmond - I totally, 100% did not expect to see Penny. It was such a shock and so wonderful. I'm not ashamed to say (even though Des and I are on rocky grounds, lol) that I pretty much burst into tears. Yes, things have gone wrong, people have died but to see the two of them reunited. They fought so hard to find each other, and lord, it makes me so happy!

The Flashforwards - Why oh why do they have to take EVERYONE back, including Locke's body. I mean - ew. Surely this is not a wise plan. I mean if it saves Sawyer and Juliet's lives then that is great, but if they're going back because they miss it, or for selfish "I'm guilty" reasons then that's just odd. Especially to take poor Aaron back.

Keamy - Ew. Was there any need to have him dripping in blood? The fight with Sayid and the Others was awesome though. I'm so impressed, and also weirded out with the plans between Kate and the Others. I mean, that worked really well - good con. I was also surprised with my concern for Ben.

The Rescue and the Freighter - I have little to say about the rescue, apart from one point, where Sayid had his arm around Kate's shoulders - I sense a moment, lol. The Freighter! I can't believe Mike and Jin died, I was so sad and cried my eyes out. I mean, I hate Sun, but it was heart-breaking to see Jin chasing that helicopter and then die . I also wonder about Daniel and his boat - will they have gone with the island?

I'm aware I've left the best until last...

Sawyer and Jules - As soon as Frank said that thing about losing weight, I knew Sawyer was going to do something, however, I did not think he was about to throw himself off the helicopter! Then I saw his face and screamed at him in an angry and unrepeatable manner , then he told Kate something (hopefully about Cass and Clem) and I became hysterical, and then the kiss - which I awwed, and then Sawyer jumped and I screamed like a banshee. Thank God he lived! I loved the scene of him emerging onto the beach - he was beautiful. And then Sawyer and Jules together. I found it really touching tbh, and really emotional that they're the only ones left. I hope they use the rum to their advantage

And now I'm rambling, but I really, really enjoyed the episode and thus far I've watched the Sawyer bits back but I plan to watch it again soon. Loved it though - emotional and touching, and just brilliant . I'll stop now, lol.

Good to have some company, esn! And yeah, you're probably right, JB, and it's just an 'agree to disagree' situation - I think they're both potentially valid readings.

Agreed. I mean, sure I felt bad for him about Alex, and I was concerned for him (and Kate *shudders* I think I'm ill) when they were running, but aside from that...no change. Although he does make me giggle really bad with some of his one liners, and his relationship with Hurley. Bless

EDIT: Although, I should add, I don't think I hate him as much as I used to, lol.
