Two things I picked up on. The whispers and Hurley's Dad.

Just watched the episode again and I've just picked up on two things during Hurley's flashforward bit.

When Hurley returns to his house he hears whispers which are coming from his family (who are hiding to suprise him obv.) but it just showed you that the whole island thing is still very much in their lives and it was just the way they did the whispers like on the island. It amused me though

But the main thing I picked up on was when Hurley's Dad comes over to Sayid and Hurley he says "Hey! How's everybody doing? (Laughs) What are you talking about? Building a fire or huntin' boars?" The and look on Sayid's face after he said that just said to me that Hurley has told his Dad something about the island. I mean fair enough you'd build a fire if you survived a plane crash and it's kind of 'let's make a joke out of this' for Hurley's Dad but the hunting boars bit isnt something you'd say if you didnt know about what they'd been through. Fair enough you could say it was a coincidence. But there's no coincidences on Lost is there? And the writers don't just through any old line in, if it's on the air then there's something behind it. And let's face it what has Hurley kept secret during his time on the island? As Sawyer said "If Hugo knows, everybody knows."
Any my point is as much as I love Hurley he isnt one for keeping secrets and I'm just saying he must of told his Dad something for him to make a remark like that.

Nice spot regarding Sayid's expression - I think that could point to Hurley "spilling the beans", or some beans about the Island. You never know, and of course Hugo's Father is likely to go to the Press in return for a large sum of money to tell all about his Island theory. Of course everyone will think he is crazy but it is still not good for the O6 to have a theory such as that arise.

Also, I personally think the whispers were REAL - they sounded too similiar, unless it was a repeat of the Kate-Juliette voice mix-up [i.e the shower scene] to confuse us.

I did love the silence when his Father made the joke, that was amusing.

But yes, I think his Father could trick him into saying too much because Hurley has a history of telling secrets either on 'purpose' or by 'mistake'. Perhaps an unveiling of what really happened is what finally causes the O6 to return - perhaps to avoid Prison and awefully bad Press?

Hurley isnt one to keep things to himself. I'm not sure if his Dad would tell the press to get the money as Hurley doesnt want his money back and have you seen the size of their house already?

It would really depend on how much Hurley has told. And I wonder if he has told his father about the island why his Dad would believe him and make that joke when Hurley hasnt exactly been sane his whole life?

I would not put it past his Father, even though he did redeem himself halfway through the episode right before Hurley leaves for the airport. He clearly stuck around after Hurley's supposed death. Good point, though was it the SAME house Hurley bought before he left for Australia?

Yes he probably would laugh at Hurley for such a story, true. I wonder whether Hurley will tell anyone at Santa Rosa? Well then again they would not believe him either.

I'm not sure since the last time we saw it it was on fire. But then again I think it was.

That is true, I think he is genuinly there for the family and not for the money; though tempted by money you never know. If Hurley begins to give away his money because he feels the Oceanic money is ALSO cursed then his Father may go to the Press. And we all know the Newspapers love stories of ANY kind, no matter how ridiculous.

I think there are pieces of a puzzle, in which when pieced together could form a solid theory as to the ACTUAL whereabouts of the Survivors the whole time they were gone. Kate's slip-up for example.

We saw it when Hurley and his Father are in his bedroom and he is talking Hurley OUT of going to Australia. Though Hurley is rich again after his Oceanic settlement.

Well I suppose his Father believed the Wild Boar and fire stories but anything more is a stretch.

I agree although I don't think he'd be so mean on his son considering he's just been given a second chance with him after he thought Hurley was dead.

I guess. It really does depend on how Hurley has told it. I mean if he was just like 'Yeah we crashed on an island some wild boar nothing that interesting but we survived and the o6 story is a lie' then I guess it's just about ok but if he's been more like 'there are loads more survivors, others on the island, etc...' then you never know what his Father might do. But to get that look from Sayid shows Sayid isnt happy about the fact Hurley's dad might be in on it now.

It may be that Hurley's Dad asked him why he looked so healthy [like the press woman did] and why he hasnt lost weight and Hurley has said well we survived of these boar that were on the island. He may not of mentioned anything about the dhrama food and maybe that was the only slip up.

Did anybody notice the expression on his dad's face when in the press conference the matter of Hurley's lottery winning's arose? I was rather lead into believing his dad is into something.

Yeah I really do think his Dad is deffo in on it. Hurley was checking out where they were supposed to of landed and the pic of them aswell which wasnt very clever considering he's supposed to of known
