There's No Place Like Home Villain of the Week

This episode was a difficult one for villains, but here are the candidates for the season finale, part 1:

Papa Paik

Perhaps unlucky to be here, but his general attitude is unpleasant and hasn't changed a jot. Barking orders and seemingly unaffected by Jin's death - the man got what was coming to him when his own spawn owned him.

Martin Keamy

Resident Keamy - no villain of the week would be complete without Martin's unflinching mug adorining the thread. He would have pulled that trigger on Ben if he could..if it didn't mean not getting his mercenary paycheck. Shame on you Keamy, let's hope Ben sticks you in a chair and drip feeds you Room 23 goodness.

Kate Littlenot

Ah, my good friend Kate. Always looking out for number one even if it means not batting an eyelid when coming into contact with Aaron's flesh and blood. No, not Jack..Claire's Mum. for heavens sake woman, do the right thing and tell the woman that Turnip features is her grandchild!

Who is your 4.12 Villain of the week?

I hate Mr. Paik and love Keamy but Keamy is this week's Villain for me. A superb Villain at that.

I never gave much thought to Kate not telling Claire's Mother about Aaron - that is rather Villainous to say the least. But the cover-up would be completely revealed so I cannot slam her for it quite frankly. Then again, perhaps the O6 could have incorporated Claire dying whilst giving birth into the story without jeopardising the secret of where they REALLY were.

Keamy. I'm going to find it very hard to see Keamy on a list of villains and not vote for him. I actually find him rather a boring character ... like a mindless, flesh and blood bulldozer. He's not even interesting enough that his evilness is particularly galling - it's like analysing an earthquake. He certainly doesn't rile me like the much more interesting and sentient Ben and Locke do. But villainy is seemingly his defining trait.

(PS. I don't think Jack told Kate at that point that he'd just spoken to Claire's grandmother. Also the lie is clearly very important to them all, so I doubt she'd feel she could break it just for that.)

I mean I understand why Kate didnt tell Claire's mum. I don't think she knew anyway that it was her and they're going to have to do things like that to protect themselves and the island.

I don't agree with Kate being on this list at all. She can't tell her it's her grandchild can she?!?! That would be the ultimate worst thing she could possibly do! sheesh.

Keamy. No doubt about it, he's the biggest villian of these three to me. In fact, I don't think I've seen him on a villian's list without voting for him.

By the way, I think Keamy is probably the biggest villain in Lost history, purely judging by his ruthlessness. Does anyone agree?

Yes, I agree - but also one of the least interesting. He's so 2d and predictably murderous that he might as well be a killing-robot. I just hope that'll change if we go into his backstory in the future.

I like him on screen presence which makes him interesting, but yes I agree he is not VERY interesting at all. I think it suits the character and the character's motives however.

I would be really suprised if we saw a softer side to him in a flashback, or for that matter in future episodes/flashforward. Although we did see a nice side to him when we first met him - but then again people can possess that Duality, especially if you seperate work from personal life. I think as a person he is not the same and is purely doing what his job requires.

Woah we did not see a nice side to him! And if you lot did I saw through it! I've thought he was a villain from day 1 and just out to kill. I agree he isnt very interesting but he is at the same time. If that makes any sense. I would love to see how he got to his stage of the baddest villain on the show. It must be a brilliant character to play.

Very funny, though I thought he came across as very 'hospitable' and 'warm'. For instance when he wrapped him arm around Desmond's shoulders and asked if he was okay. Well perhaps I have exaggerated a little there but I thought it was nice of him. Perhaps that was Keamy's warm and friendly twin Brother?

I would love a flashback to his days as a Mercenary.

It is strange to think of how Villainous Ben was illustrated as not so long ago and here we have an even MORE horrendous bad guy.
