As a soldier Keamy would know that he could be killed at nearly any time upon being drafted into combat and he's not shown a lot of remorse at all for killing innocents, so it really wouldn't surprise me if he killed himself in the pursuit of killing others.

He'd probably want the satisfaction of getting what he wants before he died though.
