So it seems the Island is AHEAD of the Freighter's boat time, in the future perhaps? The Island HAS to be on a different time plane, because there are now TWO dead Doctors.
Keamy killed the Doctor upon hearing his body washed up on the Island - which is where I get confused; just as I do with the Desmond episodes. Almost like the Universe "course corrects" events no matter what happens. Did Keamy kill the Doctor the first time round, or only the second? I think killing him was rather unnecessary, as surely there were other ways to convince Frank to fuel/fly the helicopter?

yes I agree that the island is definately in the future. However, I believe Keamy killed the doctor both times because with the island being in the future, technically he would only be killed once.

This is how I see it: He killed Him once but because there's two time differences we see him dead twice. It was probably the doc's destiny to die but because Keamy heard the doc was dead with his throat slit that's how he decided to kill him. I can't really explain it but imagine we hadnt seen the doctor dead first we would of just seen Keamy killing him and then the doc washing up on the shore, it's like that but the other way round.
