Does Keamy plan to blow up the entire Island? Which begs the question; what does Widmore want the Island for?

Do the Freighters have a Nuclear Bomb? Well we all know an Island of this size could never be killed, because life will emerge again eventually. So perhaps the idea is purely to kill everyone on it to protect the Island's secrecy/location from the rest of the world.

Though I have the feeling the term "Torch" is not what it seems. It is too obvious.

You see, when they said "Torch the island" I was thinking Lord of the Flies style. Where the boys set fire to the island and everything burns down apart from the beaches? Sorry if I'm talking nonsense but if you've read the book you'll understand

Torch to me didn't seem to imply blow up, but it suggested fire. That might just be me being hopeful though, lol.

The Island is immensely big so how on Earth will they go about burning it in it's entiriety is beyond me. Unless they use some kind of advanced device or perhaps using the Station where Daniel and Charlotte disabled the posion gas.

Possibly. Though blowing it up would achieve the same thing I feel.
