I'm thinking that what with the information that several of our Oceanic 6 members are being haunted/visited by their deceased loved ones (Hurley/Charlie, Jack/Christian) emploring them to 'go back to the island', it now makes sense that Jack wasn't being sarcastic nor is Christian still alive in 3.23 (Through the Looking Glass)..but that Jack was being haunted by his father (or a manifestation of..). Perhaps on a nightly/daily basis, to the extent that it ultimately drives him over the edge. So much so that he literally tells doctor Hamil that his father is upstairs. He is..just in 'ghost/spirit' form..

Yes, that does make sense. Christian is definitly not alive and clearly the cause of Jacks pill poppin, boozing ways. So Hurley is seeing Charlie, Jack is seeing Christian, and Sayid is tortured by the death of Nadia. I wonder what will finally drive Sun, Kate and Aaron over the edge and cause them all to go back. Will Sun start seeing Jin? Will Kate start seeing her dead father?

Yeah, both of those scenarios are very possible methinks - especially if Claire dies, then that way the island will be able to manifest as her (as i doubt it can manifest as living people), or the spirit of Claire can haunt Kate herself, depending on what these manifestations are - the island, or the dead person. I think there could be a mixture of both, although the off-island hauntings appear to be the island (or the spirit in accordance with the island - doing the islands bidding, kinda thing)

Since these visions seem to be related to the guilt of the person. I would assume that Kate would start seeing Claire.
Also, Sun might start seeing the 'other' that she shot on Desmond's boat.

Yes, that's interesting..

At the moment Kate seems to be the only one of our O6 who is doing 'OK'..if anything she's looking great, has a kid..not to mention a house and a maid.

Perhaps her downfall will come when the island comes knocking?

Which begs the question why hasn't it come knocking yet? it can't be because sh's not intune with the spirutual, because neither was Jack..

Unless for the island to affect a person, that person must have lost someone..someone who either died on the island, or who's body ended up on the island? In which case you could be right in relation to Claire - when/if she dies perhaps she will haunt Kate..or the island will be able to use Kate's guilt over what happened to facilitate a Claire manifestation..

Sun seems to be in a bad way over Jin, but Ji Yeon is her anchor. Perhaps, if Jin is dead, he might haunt her - as we've seen that even loving family members can inadvertantly haunt and distress the ones they love - the dead grandson from 4.02.

And of course "Jin" might not have any say in the matter, as we seem to have at least 2 types of manifestations - the spirits themselves, and the island/smokey.

As for Colleen, i wouldn't be suprised if she haunts Sun..it would make for an interesting discussion..
