I don't think they were Danielle and Karl's bodies

Think about it. Nobody stayed long enough to inspect them to be sure, Miles stayed the longest and yet he never saw them alive.

Danielle still has an entire story to tell which, I personally think will be told.
And knowing Danielle, I wouldn't be suprised if she used other bodies, perhaps "her people" and covered them up to make the freighties think they are definately dead. I don't know.

I think she's dead, but I'm annoyed that her story won't be told now, unless it's through a Ben flashback or something. I think Miles sensed their spirits or something, because since he'd never met them, how else would he know their names and the exact spot they were buried in?

I like this theory and I hope this is the case, purely for Danielle however.

The corpse did not look like Danielle in my opinion. The Freighters would have quickly rushed over to capture Alex and they probably inspected the bodies, which does not support this theory.

I think her story as LL stated will be told in Flashbacks because her story is surely one of the biggest in Lost.

Ideally, I would like inexperience/clumsiness as to why the Freighters did not check whether Karl and Danielle HAD died. As for why the bodies were covered up, it adds to the illusion that she died. God knows where she found a replacement body for her own however. I think a suprise appearance in the Finalé by Danielle is not far fetched at all.

I think that Rousseau and Karl are dead. We finally got to see Miles in action which was kind of cool. I wondered when he would start to hear the whispers. I do think we will see more of Rousseaus story through flashbacks.

I don't believe though that Keamy and Gang are the ones who buried them. Mercenarys are not going to take the time to bury a kill unless its one of their own and even then Marines never leave another Marine behind. I like to think that the island is swallowing them.

I think Frank buried them. He was in the area and seems the type to do that. Its definately Karl as its the same clothes.

I agree, it was great to see him use his 'skills' and I wonder whether he will be able to not only hear the whispers more clearly but also work out whom they are from and why. That is quite amusing though very possible regarding swallowing them - very creepy at the same time.

Yes, hardly the work of mercenaries is it - I would agree Frank buried them.

But I will hold on to the theory that Danielle is still alive.

The props department were on holiday for this episode - those bodies look nothing like Karlito and Roussy - although like KF i do think it's supposed to be them, otherwise Miles wouldn't have seen flashes of their deaths and been able to communicate with them (i.e. get their names)

Also Frank burying them is a good shout, as I can't imagine Keamy picking up a shovel unless it's to whack someone around the head wth it

That is the only thing that makes me think Danielle is actually deceased. Of course I could think of excuses here but it would be unlikely to argue my case. Unfortunately she is probably dead, though one can hope not.

Watched this scene again, and I definately agree - Frank must have buried them, it's the only thing that allows the scene to make sense. It totally explains why Frank was in the area, as you say, yet not with Keamy's group. Frank must have spied on Team keam's massacre of Karl and Rousseua, and tidied up behind them - there's no way Keamy would have buried them.

How long would the bodies of been out there for? I think it was them and the Miles bit proved it but they looked kinda old.
