Dear Benjamin.

It has come to my attention that you wish to find and kill a Penny Widmore. What I don't understand is why you are having problems doing this. If you want to kill Penny then all you have to do is get hold of Desmond.

Desmond, you may recall as you have info on everybody, is the guy that spent three years in the Swan Hatch. Now maybe you didn't know he was coming as he was send in a boat organised by Charles Widmore to crash on the island but thats too big to overlook!

Hes been sitting under your nose al this time and now hes on a boat that YOU have a spy on.

Get your act together Ben!

Ummm, but Alex was only killed after Desmond had left on the freighter? And he only wants to kill Penny because Widmores cronies executed Bens 'daughter'

Unless I'm missing your point entirely

True but its not exactly hard to find Penny is it. If Ben wanted to get one over Widmore thats a good place to start.

Yeah I agree, I mean... Penny kinda found Des on the Island (y'know that place God can't even see

) So you'd think with Bens resources he'd be able to find anybody.

That said, Widmore is hardly strapped for cash so I think if he wanted to make someone disappear I'm sure he could.

I would not be surprised if Ben (flash forward) was to attempt to recruit Des under the notion that Ben wants to help Des find Penny so they can be together

Desmond may perish this Season for all we know. Alternatively, I doubt Desmond would be willing to help Ben find Penny as it surely it a little random and mischevious/suspicious to say the least.

I think that Widmore makes more subtle a point than it seems.

By "you'll never find her", i think he's referring to the idea that time and space is a difficult think to pin down - if, for example, Charles has 'hidden' his daughter in time..then it would be very difficult for Ben to find her..seeing as he wasn't even sure what year he ended up in when he visited Tunisia.

I think that Penny is in another time..or space.

Just a thought, could be wrong - i'm hoping it's as extravagant as that and that Widmore hasn't got her locked up in his basement or something
