There's only one weapon of choice for me, and that's Ben's magic stick!

Previously seen giving Sawyer a beat-down in the cage, Ben now utilises it to great affect in a 2 on 1 situation.

I'm so getting me one of these..

And that poor porter at Widmore's hotel almost got a beating for no reason. Ben is a bad man. Seeking out revenge is NOT that way to go about things. Sayid didn't....until Ben recruited him.

a while ago my friend 'aquired' one of these

He didn't use it to beat people up. Actually he got rid of it because he was messing around making it shoot out and he hit himself in the face and knocked out two teeth

These things actually exist FBF? - what are they?

I immediately thought Ben needed it for his 'time travelling' - perhaps it gives him his Constant? For exampple, perhaps he has a love letter inside it from the previously mentioned "she/her" - something that keeps him grounded in "time and space".

Is there something which "pops" out via button?

That was a great scene however, though very risky.

It's like a baton, the police used to use them (perhaps they still do

) You hold the handle and kind of throw it forward - like flick your wrist - and it extends out quickly. I guess Ben just uses it because it fits nicely in your pocket

Oh I see, it actually expands. It is a handy little weapon I must say. I wonder how on Earth Ben will return to the Island.

I was suprised those two men let him put his hand in his pocket. Why were they "arresting" him anyway? Were they pirates of some sort? Clearly not the cleverest of people around. Quite noble of Ben to let the other one live however.

But in all seriousness you raise an interesting point. My assumption is that he can still come and go to the island..the final scene with Widmore suggested that he still has occupancy of the island.

I think its the perfect weapon for ben, concealed but packs one hell of a punch. It wouldnt have looked right with him having a gun and not as fun
