4.08 - Villain of the Week - Lost Community Forums - Official Spoiler-free Lost Fansite

Each week the staff team take turns on selecting candidates for villain of the week based on the latest episode. The Other Other was unavailable last week and so I've decided to do the "Meet Kevin Johnson" villain of the week.

Below are my candidates. Please note that this is based purely on my opinion and if you think differently - feel free to post your views and/or vote in the poll.

Mike's Mom

All mothers love their sons, right? Not Mike's mom..well, if she does she sure aint showing it, as Mrs Dawson showed her son that love don't live at her doorstep anymore.

Sure Mike has made mistakes with Walt and sure Mike's supposed to be dead, but heck, the mans alive and so is your grandson. All teenacged boys sulk and astral project..deal with it but don't shut your son out of your heart and don't get all judgemental on the man

The Snipers

Karl was a man with a bright future ahead of him - he was dating a hot chick, he had just got himself a brand new haircut and he just got the chance to deliver a Star Wars reference when he was struck down in his prime.

Whilst Karl had few fans, the loss of life is never a good thing and the snipers gunned him down without mercy, and they left a Alex without her doormat

Sayid Jarrah

Schoolboy errors are what this man does best. But Sayid, he likes to outdo himself. Not content with jeopordising the life of pregnant Sun in The Glass Ballerina (yes, I haven't forgotten Sayid!

), not content with torturing Sawyer to within an inch of his life, Sayid goes and puts the lives of his fellows and the island in grave danger by blowing Mikes cover.

This man needs to get a clue and fast

I'll go with the snipers because Sayid was revealing Mike as a way of getting justice for Ana and Libby. (Maybe I just don't think he's a villan this week

I went for Sayid..although the snipers were next on my list as they took a life - albeit karl's

I just shake my head at Sayid sometimes. i really cannot stand his decision making - and he's supposed to be a top-notch soldier. Maybe that's the problem? He tries and fails to be a General, when he's more equipped to follow orders and not make them?

Snipers. What Sayid did made sense in context - it's knowing that we're being set up to meet a greater villain than Ben that makes his actions seem foolish, but Sayid doesn't know he's a character in a TV show ....

And I can't see that Michael's mother done much amiss.

To be honest Ben should be up here (as well as in the Hero thread) for sending Karl and Danielle to their deaths.

Anyway I understand and defend what Sayid did, as I've explained elsewhere, and Mike's didn't do too much wrong in my eyes. So snipers, whom I'm guessing are members of the Temple gang.

The Snipers win this week for being villains, since what they did - especially compared to the other two candidates - was pretty awful, but Sayid would win 'Thoughtless goon' of the week though. Yes the plot with Mike's secret life as a spy had to be exposed eventually (maybe not if this were real life, but in Lost it was bound to happen) but I thought it was too out of character for Sayid to just haul him in front of the Captain like he did.
