Case in point: Claire should have died instead of Rousseau!

I'm not Danielle's biggest fan - infact I cannot stand her. But it kinda sticks in the throat when people like Claire are stilling hanging around. I'm not bashing Claire as she hardly warrents such focus, but she really has done squat all since giving birth

Maybe i'm slightly peeved because she hasn't honoured Charlie's brave death with a single post 4.01 tear or look of sorrow, or maybe it's because she is a pointless character who's only purpose in Lost was to give birth and facilitate yet another pointless layer in another pointless characters story-arc. I'm of course talking about Kate getting Aaron.

It just feels somewhat conceited, for them to make Aaron a mere conduit after giving him so much hype and promise. What happened to the devils child possibility or the idea of him having an ability like walt? Sure, it may have been predictable, but surely it's better than using him simply to extend the life-cycle of Kate?

I realise that Claire might be dying soon what with 2005 Kate having Aaron(although persnally I don't think this is necessarily the case), but to despatch a once-good rogue in favour of someone who has been dragging their feet for the past 3 seasons..well, it makes me wonder whether Lost itself is a metaphor for the island - what with certain characters merely serving as pawns to facilitate the creators 'favourites'.

I've got to say, I'm not exactly the biggest Claire fan in the world, but I'm not happy with all this Claire-hating. Fair enough she hasn't done much, but who's to say that she hasn't got a damn good storyline coming up? I think sometimes you have to accept that there are going to be characters you don't particuarly like or don't see the point of. You just have to be patient and hope that they do eventually have a point

I'm not Clarie's biggest fan either and yeah I am annoyed that she doesnt seem to care about Charlie's death but maybe there's so many other things going on we havent seen much of her yet.

Don't even go there with Claire. I cannot believe Shannon has been dead 2 years and this "lump" is still alive and moaning to anyone who will listen. I bet Locke wishes Claire would whine back at the beach to Jack.

Yeah Claire is pretty pointless really, and after shedding a tear or two with Hurley (the extent of her Charlie grieving) all she's done is chat with Kate, carried Aaron around and whined to Locke about Miles. Hopefully she'll have an interesting storyline with regards to Kate and Aaron getting off the island, but how intesting will she personally make it?

With her happily living life in Othersville without what seems to much as a second thought for Charlie I blame that on the writers, who have done some terrible things with certain characters this season so far - Sawyer being quickly domesticated, Locke suggesting that Jack ran a democracy, etc.

True..maybe she will have something interesting coming up - I don't rule it out. I've just been let down by her before and so i'm not getting my hopes up

I just think that they should be able to sustain characters for at least 80% of the story, but imo they've only sustained her as an interesting character for only 20% of the story..and so i feel a bit cheated and miffed. Especially when i see her making cups of coffee so Sawyer and Kate can get their flirt on, whilst Charlie floats at the bottom of the deep blue with Regina and Mikhail

I guess i'm also concerned that - barring Rousseau and Karl - all of the characters that i despise are still here- yet so many of my faves are dead or presumed dead (Jinbo)

Of all the mass-murderers about the place, I personally find Rousseau the most appealing, but to each his own... At any rate, I shall be most annoyed if she has died, as she will presumably take several secrets to her grave. The nature of her science team mission, the nature of the "sickness", and whatever insight led her to describe the "Cerberus" entity as a "security system" (which, let's face it, is the single most informative statement we have had on the wretched thing since "Pilot Pt. 1"). Or perhaps, via her death, the writers hope to get out of answering these issues, along with various others that stand little chance of ever being resolved (How long, for example, since anyone mentioned the Numbers?).

I love Danielle, but i love Claire more... Danielle is really mysterious and i will be so dissapointed if she dies, but i would have been more annoyed if Claire died. She brought Alot to season 1, and in season 2, she played an excellent role in Maternity leave, that has to be one of my favorite episodes of the season... Unfortunately in season 3... she was absent It seems that the producers are trying to bring her back though, as we've seen her alot more this season. Plus, she seems to have an interesting storyline coming up with Kate and Aaron, so that should be interesting to watch! I really can't wait... So yeah, i guess I'd rather Danielle die, even though i'd hate it.

I don't get the Claire love

Fair enough she was fairly good in S1, but all she did in S2 is have one good episode and destroy Charlie's confidence.

Yes, she was absent in S3

have we seen more of her this season tho? When Mr. Friendly is getting more screentime in one flashback episode (4.08) than she has in the entire 8 episodes, i think that says something.

Hmm, but this potentially interesting storyline with Kate and Aaron will probably be over in a flash..considering the O6 look set to leave fairly early on in 2005..perhaps even in the last few days of 2004. Not much interesting time potential for Claire..

But fair dues man, we each see value in different characters!
