It seems like the end of an era.. We first saw Karl stuck to a chair indulging himself on TV, drugs and rave music (kids these days

)..then he disappeared for a while before we met up with him again dwelling in the caves. Just before he died he had built up quite a role - Ben's antagonist..the boy sleeping with his precious daughter..one of the few things which could really rile the usually calm Mr. Linus..

Alas, Karl now seems to be nothing but a mere whisper in the wind. But i was wondering - Do you think you'll "miss" Karl..or was he just to insignificant?

Funnily enough i'll miss ribbing him, but as characters go I'm not sure he had much potential

Yeh i'll miss him. I would class him as a proper character because they all are really.
To me the seemed like he was becoming more of a detailed character who's story waas cut short. I'd like to know how he got to the island.

No I doubt I'll miss him at all. Sorry Karl fans! With him I got the impression that he was a decent and nice enough guy, but that his main purpose was to be a part of the more important storylines of Alex and Ben, and that without them he couldn't really hold a scene/plot all on his own.

Not in and of himself, but I do feel sorry for Alex. And for Karl himself, of course, one of Lost's more put-upon characters. But he wasn't particularly interesting, I'm afraid.

Of course I'll miss him. I mean, I'm not going to break my heart crying over him, or miss him like I miss Boone/Charlie/Shannon/AL but I will miss him. He was such a sweet little guy and I saw a Sawyer/Karl friendship. And he really loved Alex which was nice.

Shame to lose him

Although, he could go back to One Tree Hill, I'm sure his job at the pretzel stand is still open

I won't miss him really but I'll notice his demise, if it makes sense. He was an alright character but mainly there for Alex and to annoy Ben. He had some funny scenes though.

I can't say I will, as I was never particularly invested in his character, but it is a shame to lose one of the more normal characters in a show populated by people with no moral compass and fantastical back-stories. I also enjoyed seeing such a seemingly innocuous character get under Ben's skin.

I'm sure if I related to him, I'd be quite miffed.

Danielle shot him with her bow and arrow, but it was definitely through the shoulder, rather than what looks to be somewhere rather important to one's long-term health, as is the case with Karl.
I think he's very dead unfortunately.

Poor Karlito..although at least he has three people who will miss him

He could've been a good character actually, but they really sapped him up. I still remember that blubbering 'man-up' scene with Sawyer..LOL

I always thought of Karl as a glorified red shirt really so his death does not worry in the slightest.

I thought his first appearance was ignoring Sawyer in the cage?
