Captain Gault - Is he in on it?
I'm not sure about this guy lol, he seems pretty freaked out about whats going on, and he seemed rather convincing when he talked to Sayid and Des about Ben faking the crash in Ji Yeon.
Are "some" of the people on the boat being lead to believe that the mission is to find Ben, when all Widmore really wants is the Island itself?

I wouldn't be surprised if he was working for Ben. Ben seems to be about ten steps ahead of everyone. He at least knows about Michael. And I've thought Widmore has been using him since he first popped up. Widmore is just saying anything to get people to do what he wants. He's a SOB if there ever was one

 And it'll be interesting to see which people are Widmore's men and which ones are just clueless.

Yeah he knows what's going on! I even think that he knew michael was the spy because of the look he gave him when sayid approached him

I agree, i think the captain knows what's going on, and i also think he is a spy for Ben. I think he's the one who's been telling Ben everything that's going on on the boat. He definately looked like he knew about Michael! Also there was something about the way he looked at Michael when Sayid said "He is a traiter..." it was as if he was a traiter too.

Well I do hope he is in the know - he certainly didn't look at all surprised and I guess it would make for a good plot line if he was one of Ben's men, also would hope they would not kill Michael or something. Shame on you Sayyid
