I'm telling you its those new clothes that brought her bad luck. She wears the same stuff for 16 years and doesnt get a scratch, then when she gets some new clothes ... boom.

Although I'm rather intrigued by the notion that the shootings were Ben's doing. He wasnt a fan of Karl or Rousseau, now theyre both potentially out of the way then no one but him can be there for Alex.

i think karl is dead. i doubt roussou (spelling) is dead, i still want to see her back story, i still think with this whole timetravel thing, that her boat that brought her to the island is the freighter and she'll turn up any episde now lol and maybe ben is the father (possibly the innocents on the boat he said about) knowing what the future holds for him/them??

I couldn't believe it when Danielle was shot! I would have said anyone else but her was going to die!! We're still waiting for a flashback...i didn't think they'd kill her off because her 'story' isn't finished yet, if you get me. I'm not sure that she's actually dead either.

She won't die. Yet anyway. She either won't be dead full stop, or the next episode (first after the break) will be her flashback episode and she'll die at the end of that. In any case I can see the next episode being her flashback.

The writers have promised that Danielle will have a flashback. It was rumoured to be either in S4 or S5. And the writers aren't ones (usually) to go back on their word.

I'm also of the belief that Ben sent them to their deaths. We know the contempt Ben has for Karl, that look told stories, and isn't too fond of Danielle, after all he does class her daughter as his own. He loves Alex more than nearly anything else and so anything he perceives as a threat to his and her relationship he will exterminate. He either sent word to The Templars (that's my name for them) that they were coming, or they were under general rules to shoot people who got near The Temple. Obviously they wouldn't shoot Alex due to her relationship with Ben. In either case, Ben sent Danielle and Karl to their deaths.

I really really hope Dani isn't dead, because I REALLY cried when she came out with the "I love you very much Alexandra" line.

They did it with Libby. They can do it with Dani.

I think they had to bring an end to the Rousseau arc at this point - although the writers strike possible hastened their hand by a few episodes.

Now that she's got Alex back, most of her mystery lies in her past. I think Ben and the Others..and possibly Widmore and Dharma flashbacks will be able to tell her story.

Shame she's gone in many respects, but they de-robed the rogue and made her all domesticated like..before long they would've had her cooking taco's on a thursday and attending Alex' recitals, or whatever..

Keep Rousseau rural or remove her from the show - that's what I say
