Jin's "death"

I don't think Jin is really dead.. he could still be on the island. And if there is a body under the gravestone it could be the one from the "fake crash". He did say he'd do anything to get Sun off the island.

I could be wrong but just sharing my very weak opinion haha

It's possible. Sun never really explicitly said he was dead... it's possible that she just feels she'll never see him again. If I had to bet one way or the other though...

Personally, I will not believe he is dead until I see him die. This is Lost you know. I just find it to hard to believe that everyone but the Oceanic 6 is dead.

Yea, you could well be right Dec4denc, it's very possible that Jin could be alive with Sun not in the loop (Hugo looked shifty imo).

However the creators did once say that what we see in the future is "set" - i.e. it's canon and not a dream/alternate reality etc..so i wonder whether that also applies to deaths which might not actually be deaths - I hope not because i'm thinking the man in the coffin (3.23) also has more to it than meets the eye.

No way is Jin dead. She said she "misses him". Hes on the island and she has to pretend hes dead. That grave could be from the fake plane crash.

Hurley was looking shifty and also said "good" when he found out noone else was coming.

I think jin is still alive and on the island. I think he did something really brave to get sun and the unborn child off the island.

He probably is dead because otherwise this means the O6 are unaware of his death [or wellbeing] which is unlikely - I think.

That's the sticking point for me as well. I suppose Sun could be treating the tombstone as a shrine and a means of being in contact with Jin even if he's still alive on the island, but Hurley's line would make a lot more sense to me if Jin's body really was in that grave. I also think the story loses some of its impact if Jin turns out not to be dead - surely the shock value was in thinking Jin's flashback was a flashforward and then suddenly realising that he wasn't around in the current timeline. But then again, no-one said for sure that Jin was dead, so it does seem as though the question was left deliberately open.

Good point, but it could turn out to be a "twist in a twist" if that makes sense. For exanmple, everyone except Sun knows he is alive, because it adds flavour to the revelation he is still on the Island. It would explain Hurley's suspiciousness.
