That's a lot of bodies, if El Capitan was telling the truth. Do you think he was wrongly informed? Or did Ben really kill enough people to fill a commercial aircraft?

I'm a tad confuddled though, did Ben stage the crash, or did Widmore stage it? It would explain why it was broken in the right places if Ben did it, but it kind of slipped by me

Eh, who's to say Ben committed murder here? IF Ben was the one who staged the wreck of 815, which as yet we don't know, there's no evidence to suggest he went out on a killing spree, murdered 324 people and used their bodies as fake casualties.

There are other means of procuring dead bodies you know.

But we've seen Ben sending Sayid off to kill people, who's to say he hasn't got hitmen all over the place? Ordering deaths is just as bad as doing it yourself you know.

I don't know what to think on this one. I'd like to think nobody is capable of getting hold of 300+ dead bodies just to pull off some elaborate con. I mean, that's rather sick.

My first thought was actually Widmore, because well, the Captain (did anyone catch his name? I sneezed when he said it, lol) was talking about him at the time....but then he suggested Ben to us, but then there was the note about not trusting the Captain....

I'll wait 'til someone who isn't in mourning says something intelligent, lol.

I'm not saying that ordering people to go kill is...great...exactly (lol) but it's still not 'as' bad as doing it yourself. In my humble opinion there's a huge difference.

Oooo i think ordering deaths is a tad worse than doing it yourself. Is Sayid a worse person that Ben because he's the one killing people while Ben sits in his little Vetinary Clinic ticking names of a list? Although some people might say that's the case, but I don't want to bring out the 'evil men in history who had people killing for them' card because comparing that kind of thing to Lost does irritate me

It occurred to me that the captain might actually be making an assumption that every seat that was filled, is filled, with replacement bodies. Did they really check to see if every seat was filled?

Of course, you'd still need about 100 dead bodies to be convincing.

I wouldn't trust the captain's word on this being Ben's doing - Oceanic 815's fate being kept a secret benefits both factions.
