Not a surprise, of course, because of the giveaway in the credits, but it's a fascinating mystery. Only Ben's using Walt as leverage seems to make sense of Michael's agreeing to work for him, because surely Ben would be pretty much top on Michael's list of enemies. Either that or he knows of a direct threat posed to the Losties by the freighter (though he didn't seem overly concerned for the Losties the day he gunned two of them down and sold four more to the Others). But how did they communicate? The day Michael and Walt left the island, the comms went down and no-one's been able to leave. I can only imagine that the course Michael was put on took the two of them straight to somewhere (or some-when) where Ben was able to manipulate them and get them to do his bidding.

That said, in spite of all the manipulation that I suspect on Ben's part (but have no proof of), Michael's lack of trust for the captain and desire to help Sayid and, perhaps by extension, Ben, seems quite genuine. I suspect while he may have nothing but contempt for Ben and his methods (or maybe that's just me), he agrees with Ben's opinions of the freighterites.

Well if he used his real name Frank would have recognised him, seeing as he appears to know the manifest by heart. He knew Jules wouldn't on the plane, after all.

Nope his memory is still gone, I believe

And we never actually saw Michael and Des meet. Whether Michael saw Desmond when he showed up at LuLu/Libby's funeral we don't know but I'd assume not. I mean Michael kind of wanted to stay away, particularly if somebody coming in a boat when he'd asked for a boat to escape on.

Imagine if none of us knew Michael was coming back - this place would be on fire afterwards I reckon! I was going to make a seperate thread about it but I thought that'd be a bit unnecessary...just thought I'd throw it in.

When the Time travelling thing stopped, i think the way that Desmond said 'Sayid,' was supposed to imply that his memory was back and that he remembered who he was... That's what i believe anyway

I was wondering why would Lost use a name like Kevin Johnson???? It doesn't seem like a name that Lost would use... it is kind of out of place to me. Anyway, Ben gave Michael a different name before he set him off to get rescued... right?

I assume that's what's happened. Michael must've agreed to spy for Ben so they'd need an alias. As I've said before, Frank has memorised the manifest so using Michael's real name is out of the question. Where's Walt disappeared to though?
