I hate michael!

I know that this is probably good for the story, but if any lostie forgives him or says anything close to, 'I understand,' I will seriously go crazy!! He had no logical reason to shoot Ana or Libby, he could have meerely gone to Jack and co. told him the situation, and created a counter strike involving the release of Ben!!

Go Sayid!! Torture his ass!!

He didnt intend to shoot Libby! And he went abit crazy in the head but he'd lost his son, what would you do?!

Man will do crazy things to protect the ones he loves. To be honest I can understand what Michael did. He only ever had Walt's best interests at heart; yes he may have gone about it wrong but when your son has been kidnapped you will do anything you can to get him back. I can't really blame a man that will do anything for his son

I could quite easily do what Michael did for my son Tom. Parental protection can be overwhelmingly strong sometimes.

Yeah but you wouldn't go and shoot to people in the back when theres an easier option. Like i said before, he could have easily told the camp what had happened to walt, and then they could have come up with a plan to trade Ben for Walt, whilst taking out a few others It was alot simpler than killing two of your own people, then betraying the rest of them. But i blame it on the writers wanting us to go As i think they wanted us to believe that he had been turned into an other... kinda.

Your son has been kidnapped. The last thing that goes through your mind is elaborate plots to get him back. He was told to do one thing that would guarantee him getting his son back. Any other way and he may not have. Plus Libby was a mistake, let's remember that.

That one thing wasnt Kill Ana though. It was to free ben. Surely a decent person would have told ana what had happened to walt so that she could help him, instead he shot her for absolutley no logical reason.

I suppose you could say Libby was an accident, but he didn't look to upset when he saw that she survived. It looked like he was thinking, 'Oh sh!t she's gonna tell them what i did,' ... Not much remorse there

lol I loved that moment, especially his sad attempt at trying to get 'on deck' "Er, actually I'm needed on deck" *shuffles towards stairs* to avoid Sayid. Haha. Good to see Mike again, I've missed him...

I was half expecting him to ask if anyone had seen his boy

..Though after I saw the note I figured it would be Walt, actually, the writing seemed a little kiddish Soz' Mike

And he never met Des, I don't think; Mike left on the raft before Locke etc blew the hatch open - and then when Mike eventually returned to free Ben, he didn't leave the hatches vicinity (at this time Des had gone missing expecting the world to end lol) By the time Des returned from his round-the-island trip Mike was long gone (if memory serves..)

Unfortunately, I think we all saw it coming for weeks so not really a climax was it despite the music!

Did Des know Michael? I don't think they ever met. Sayid must know that Michael is a) Ben's spy and b ) the "friend" on the boat thats helping them. But then again I can't see Sayid beliveing Ben's story. He did say the Captain was surprising forthcoming but Sayid would be suspitious of that too.

I'm so glad they handled this well - if they had used it for a cliff-hanger it wouldn't have been as effective in my eye's.

I love the nod nod wink wink between Sayid and Kevin, but a part of my is wondering whether 'Kevin' even remembers who he was? Of course he seemed eager to avoid meeting Sayid so that would suggest he remembers full well who he is and what he's doing (a sabotuer among other things), but he's blank expression made me wonder for a minute.

I'm thinking that this could well be confirmation that Walt is dead - we only ever see dead people appearing as manifestations/visions (apart from Claire in Charlie's "Save the baby" dream), which could confirm that the manifestation of Walt which saved Locke's life in S3 was indeed a manifestation and not Walt astral projecting (although i suppose one can astral project in death).

Eitherway, it looks like Mike is Ben's man on Widmore's boat - but why the need for Locke to sit down first, Ben? There must be something more to this then..although i suppose from Locke's POV it would be quite shocking, seeing as Mike's son kinda saved his life and all..

I think it's likely Desmond and Michael have met... Desmond returned in his yacht during a funeral that Michael was attending (LTDA). It's quite possible they met off-screen, or at least saw each other. Desmond's apparent awareness of the situation would suggest so, I think.
