manage to persuade his crew to not answer a call from his daughter? [last eppy]
He must of threatened them good

because he couldnt exactly persuade them with the old 'I dont want my daughter to fall in love with the wrong man' line could he?
And also Locke asked 'How does Widmore know about the Island?' which Ben replies 'I don't know, but he does' so did he find it through Penny or on his own

To be honest I'm not sure whether Penny knows about the boat nor do the boat know about Penny. Widmore probably just told them to never answer incoming unknown calls. After all, Widmore doesn't want Penny to find Des due to his strange dislike for him lol.

erg I'm starting to get suspicious of ickle Miss Penelope 'I'm Considerably Richer Than Thou' Widmore. I think there's something going on here that we don't know about. Anyone think she's capable of holding a grudge against Desmond and siding with her daddy? Hmm? No? Oh well I'll just go lie down....

It could be that Widmore knows of the island anyways and then Penny started her own campagain to find the island. But to advert suspicion, Widmore could have allowed Penny to call the boat, and then send her down wild goose chases to slow her down. After all, she seemed to be struggling to find the place where as Widmore knows it exists. Or maybe she found somthing that she shouldnt have - or was supposed to.

I do not think you would want to disobey an order from your Boss who is seemingly a borderline Mobster. Minkowski probably got wind through the grapevine that the calls were from Penny.

I would imagine Widmore found the Island on his own accord or perhaps he stole Penny's research. Someone mentioned last week that Widmore sent Desmond to the Island knowing Penny would try to find it which means he PLANNED to steal her research.

Her emotion seemed TOO real in The Constant during the phonecall for her to be "playing" Desmond. But perhaps she wants to find the Island regardless of Desmond being on it?

The ones who called Penny? I was thinking about them. Is that what they said? I thought they said "I think we've found him." Could be wrong though.
If they said "they think they've found it." Then we can assume Penny is spying on her father's attempt's to find the island.
