Underused and I'm Not Amused! - Lost Community Forums - Official Spoiler-free Lost Fansite

..Jin and Sun.

As much as I did enjoy this episode, I was left shaking my head at the poor deployment of two heavy-weight characters. I mean it made no sense to me - Jack sending Jin AND Sun out to hunt for Faraday and Red..WHAT?? Sun's preggers, Jack!!

I couldn't believe it and I don't know who I was more angry at - the creators or Jack for being so foolish. I guess I blame 'the powers that be' more because it's as if Jin/Sun have become a charity case who have been given a senseless crumb of a scene, just so we know they're still there.

Ok, so they redeemed themselves somewhat with Des and Jules (also once members of the underused club), but unless this 'hunting' thing turns into a proper storyline within the next few episodes, i'm dumbfounded as to 'why' they've been sent off into the jungle at night.

Dammit Jack!

Yeah! As soon as Sun started running off with the torch, I was like "She's PREGNANT! What if something HAPPENS?!"

I know she's an independant woman but seriously, what if she falls?

It's also worrying when Bernard has more lines than Jin in a season..

no but i agree, Jack could have easily asked someone else to go, but no 'Let's send the pregnant lady! Maybe she can get morning sickness all over them and stop them from gassing everyone'

Yeah yet another moment to add to the 'Moments Where Jack Should Be Kicked In The Nuts' list. That's no. 215

But I think this season has told us to have faith with the underused. Des and Jules were horribly underused and both had very good episodes so perhaps it will be Jin and Sun's time soon.

Plus I would say Claire as I'm actually one of those who don't mind Claire lol, but it seems as if she's going to get more involved with Miles now.

I hope Jin & Sun get a good storyline this season. It seems like a lot has happened to them but... i dunno, it seems easily forgotten to me. They just seem to pop in and out with the odd sentence now

Yeah, what happened with that whole Claire/Miles thing? Did Locke give her the green light?

Thing is there are so many characters, unless its their turn for a flashback a lot of people are destined to being 'underused'. To be expected really, although i like jin and sun, so im pissed at the lack of them this epp

Well it is my prediction that this could form the plot of the next storyline of next weeks episode. or a future one. I wouldnt be too worried yet.Though it was kinda dumbass of Jack to do this but I guess he didnt want to cause a panick of sorts.

that's a point that, esn. i didn't think about that. if he'd ran into the camp yelling - The untrustworthy strangers have vanished' there could have been mutiny, seeing as he promised everyone that every little thing... is gonna be all right...
