As far as we know Karl and Alex haven't been doing the deed. He seems respectable enough, and even if he wanted to... Alex would have the ultimate say in it. A swift "no" would stop his advances for weeks.

I wouldn't say so no. Man does stupid things when he's lonely (I mean that in the figurative 'man'), and Jules bless her was completely alone on that Island. She just needed someone, anyone, and for that Goodpimp took advantage. Jules needed some TLC and Goodwin took full advantage I blame Goodwin.

She should leave other peoples men alone Yes, Goodwin used her, but she also used Goodwin - she said she didn't want publicity, yet she got her claws into another womans man. Basically she's very competitive and will do anything to get her way (i.e. murdering poor Picket and blowing up her fellows). She's one messed up chick.

But it wasn't as simple as just "setting her claws into him". She was seriously alone, and as I say people do stupid things when they feel alone. Yes I've fully well admitted she should have known better than cozying up to another womans man and I fully condemn her for it (moreso dare I say than you have done with many of Ben's condemnable actions). She was not competitive about this or she would have outright said to Harper "Your husband is mine". But unfortunately that's Ben's territory. And to be fair to be held against your will, away from who you believe to be your dying sister for 2 and a half years, will mess you up pretty good.

But I think that had it not been for Ben's watchful eye, he would have done the deed - what else have they for entertainment on the island - a round of horse-shoe?

In saying that Alex does appear to wear the pants in that relationship, so hopefully she's decided to wait. Although she also seems the rebellious type - the type to spite Ben by giving his rival a gun, or by warning the losties..or sleeping with sideshow
