Yes it was wrong but bless her she was all alone, she said it herself. And after all it was clear that Goodwin wasn't completely happy with Harper, who was a pretty big biatch and who can resist those twinkling blue eyes
Doesn't change the fact that she bedded another mans wife and looked that woman in the eye day after day. Yes she was all alone, but for someone as like Jules who puts on the 'butter wouldn't melt' image, it kinda makes me think she has issues in the head She's got a heart of steel and as much as this episode showed us that, i'm still wondering just where on earth it came from? I don't think they will ever be able to show how she went from being an innocent little doormat and the husband of Mr. Burke, to being such a heartless mistress. Her affair with Goodwin happened right off the bat from her husband dying and leaving Rachel - back then she seemed so innocent, yet weeks later she's doing the dirty on Harper. Perhaps the suggestion is that Jules never did 'change', but that she always had this side to her and on the island she quickly learnt how to deal with competition - sleep with it's husband

Have to hand it to Jules, you can see why Ben would want her on his side - just hide the knives at night Ben

However Jules you may need to spend some time in Room 23 to get rid of your thoughts about Jack. You know better than that woman! Though Jack's "He knows where to find me" was pretty cool. Jack V Ben in boxing anyone?
AHH, is that what he said?? lol, I couldn't figure out what the fundangle the man mumbled under his breath, and I didn't consider a 'Jurke' moment worthy of the rewind button (that was saved for some delicious 'Bocke' moments).

..And yes, Jack, Ben DOES know where to find you (just follow the stream of tears)

I love Charlotte! She's so kick ass and imagine my pleasure when Jules and Char started rolling around on top of each other
Must confess, she is getting cuter by the episode Not a conventional looker, but there's something about those pale eyes and fiesty nature.

Ben wants a slap in the face. 'You're mine'!?! Who the hell does he think he is?

Anyway, 'fraid to say Juliet annoys me. Im not sure if its the way she speaks, her general attitude, the fact that i just dont trust her, or her homewrecking tactics in this episode. She just seems like one of those women who plays men of against each other.
Oh for sure, she's so duplicitious and I can't stand that about her.

i dont believe she loved Goodwin.
She loved what their affair did to Harper. Poor Harp's

I did not rate this episode much, even though I do not particularly dislike Juliet. I must admit I like her even less now mostly because this ep showed little redeeming qualities about her. Sleeping with some-one else's husband came as no surprise, esp when we see that the moral standards of most of the characters is not exactly high (yes Kate I'm talking about you).

We also did not learn much in this ep (unlike the fast paced and absorbing episode we saw last week in The Constant) other than that Ben is still a little manipulative git who is NOT to be trusted (WHAT is Locke thinking of releasing him), his unhealthy infatuation with Juliet, oh and Widmore is the one behind the frieghters (no surprise there).

This episode also made me think: the freighters are not so bad - they disabled the mechanism that BEN may have used to gas others again. So I am still not decided on who is 'good' and who is 'bad' . Just because Ben has the island's interests at heart (supposedly) does NOT make him good and/or redeemable in my books. Good and sincere actions hold a lot of weight with me as does honesty, kindness, generosity etc - I do not see these in Ben despite all his alleged 'good' intentions. As the saying goes, the road to hell is paved with good intentions. Obviously Ben is trying to spin it (to Locke) so that he ends up looking better than his enemy Widmore - but are they really that different? Seems to me BOTH are prepared to just about do ANYTHING (murder, kidnapping, lying to name a few) to achieve their means. Tut tut. I think the only 'good' ones on the island are the ones who are caught in between all of this - the survivours and the freighters. I think the 2 may even join forces at some point.

And lastly, when Locke asked Ben 'There's one more question I need to ask you' - I was expecting him to say, 'So WHY do they want YOU?' rather than a dopey question like who is your man on the boat (HOW will that help them any way)? If he had asked the former we cud've been exposed to Ben's past and his capabilities - maybe the reason they want him is cos he really is SO dangerous???

Indeed, I think the lines between good and bad are even more blurred due to the clever way in which the writers have used the Freigtie 4 - I mean even charlotte's become more endearing..

Whilst I am still a believer in the greater good and Ben's way, it's interesting to note how TPTB have almost used the Freightie-4 to buffer (deflect even) the Widmore confirmation..

I enjoyed that episode. At first I was kinda expecting it to be a flashforward, and then when they started talking about "first week" and why Jules was brought their, I soon cottoned on to the flashbackness. And then Tom - who appeared to have Lost weight, lol.

Despite the lack of Sawyer it was a fabulous episode, coz well, Jules is my 2nd fave and she's awesome. But damn her and her pretty hair. Seriously, I have never been so jealous of someone's hair before. But enough...episode content

I loved learning about Juliet's life on the island and how she was once a sweet, worried young woman who simply wanted to help and make a difference. It confirmed for me that Jules is a good person, it's just the island and her desperation to get home (and Ben ) which make her act violently/sneaky sometimes.

Speaking of Ben - lord, that man gets creepier every week. I could deal with his crush on Jules, seriously, but the whole "You're mine!" thing - sick and wrong. Juliet is her own woman and belongs to no-one. I thought this was out of line and very very sinister in a creepy stalker-esque type way.

Hate Charlotte still. And I hate her more coz well....low and behold, I was actually angry at her for attacking Kate. Normally I don't care what happens to Kate (unless it'll upset Sawyer) but for some unbeknown reason, there I was...defending Kate.

I'm glad they (Charlotte/Daniel) stopped whatever was going to happen from happening...even if I may have been encouraging Jules to do something at the time

The Ben and Locke scenes were amusing, especially the rabbit comment - really made me giggle.

Claire - um, you do remember Charlie don't you? He died like a week ago?

The only think that disappointed me was Juliet's affair coz well, I really hate cheaters, and so it kinda upset me a bit. But I know Jules was lonely, and that Goodwin and.....um, his wife, were having issues - so I understand it, but it still upsets me. And Ben was well cruel for taking Jules to see the body. Meanie.

Good episode, but my hopes for Suliet is ruined. And is it just me or do Jack and Jules have very little chemistry together? I thought the kiss was very Disney Cartoon like - you know what I mean, lol. But the hug and Jack's "He knows where to find me" were lovely - but I didn't get a romatic vibe from them at all.

Good eppy, I'd give it an 8

Finally! Someone else who doesn't like Charlotte. I seriously cannot stand her! I was basically shouting, "NOOOOO don't shoot Faraday!!!!! But feel free to take out Charlotte She's fair game "

Does anybody else think the affair was slightly more acceptable when Goodwin pointed out that he'd been sleeping on the couch for like a year. I mean, it seems like their marriage was basically over anyway But maybe I got the wrong end of the stick with that

No, I'm with you on this one. I hate her. Have done since the moment she arrived as well...I just couldn't warm to her. Also she switches accents from Penny-llike to Charlie-like all the time which irritates me so. Ha, same! I kept shouting "Get the gun! Shoot her!" but I didn't want Daniel hurt, not that I particulary trust/like him but still....

Possibly. I think the pair had kinda agreed that the marriage was over, but I was still upset that it was an affair in the first place - but yeah, I think towards the end it wasn't so much an affair, more of a matter of keeping it secret from Ben.

I thought she looked ok, but prefer modern Jules to old skool Jules. but yeah i suppose she did have some lovely curly hair rich in protein and other stuff

I see your point, but for me this fb just made my perception of her slightly convulted, cos we already discovered that she was a meek and shy woman in her previous 2 fb's and this one kinda skewed that perception because it reinforced that idea, whilst also suggesting that she was never as meek or as feeble as they previously suggested. Even in the first scene with Harper, she held her own and came across slightly arrogant in telling Harper to call her 'Juliet' and that she felt like a 'celeb'. she then proceeded to sleep with said womans man and do it in a devious fashion, not once feeling 'bad' about what she was doing to this other woman. Now whislt i do understand what you're saying, this fb just painted a skewed picture of Jules and made me question what i've seen in her other fb's, cos perhaps she was never really as meek as they made out and perhaps Edmund was the victim in their relationship and not Jules.

Don't you just love him
Juliet is indeed her own woman, but at the same time she's every bit as capable as Ben - I think ben chose her for a reason.

I'd take Red over Kate any day, I was cheering for charlotte in this one

But they were the ones to activate the gas, where they not? They stopped it, but I think it was more a pre-emptive thing more than them saving the day as it were

I think they both got what they deserve - I just cannot condone what they did - if they really liked each other why not have Goodwin break up with Harper first? it just seems like they were both hedging their bets in case they realised that the grass wasn't greener - this is something i feel Jules does alot
