My Pre-4.06 Thoughts - Lost Community Forums - Official Spoiler-free Lost Fansite

Not since Arsenal lost the Champions leage final two years ago has my head hurt so much. I have a constant headache after that one, but it's all good, this is what heads were made for.

But where now - I think i've got the Constant licked, but has Desmond? Sure, he appeared to remember who Sayid was, but a look of confusion and worry crept across his features moments later. Obviously we haven't heard or seen the last of this time-travelling malarky - Faraday's 'updated' journal is proof of that. But what does this mean exactly? Has past-Faraday time-travelled as a result of the information Desmond gave him (2.342/11 hertz)? Will he go on to do his own bit of time-travelling? Or, as I suspect, has the Universe course-corrected Faraday's new-past exploits? It's either that or constant exposure the Eloise's ray gun which has given him memory problems.

I'm of the opinion that the 4 new freighties that we met last week are alot more knowledgeable than the original freightie-4 (although Miles and Charlotte probably know a bit more about the suits who pull their strings than Frank and Faraday. I think it will soon be revealed that the boaties (as that's not where the 'boss' is according to Minkowski - is s/he on a bigger freighter?) are indeed linked with Charles, Dharma..and possible Rousseau. Or perhaps we have Dharma's rivals in town?

I hope to see much more of Locke and Ben this week - one senses that Locke is still in 'angry' mode after Miles and Kate's exploits a couple of weeks ago - and who can blame him. Trouble is, Locke is lost right now and it's only a matter of time before Ben wriggles out of his current predicament. Locke could well be left without a prisoner AND a leader. Tbh, this probably wouldn't be a bad thing - let Ben do his thing and John do his thing - the same goals they may have, but here are two men who are as cohesive as S2 Locke and Jack.

Five episodes in and we are still without a Jack, Locke, Sawyer, Ben or Juliet centric - and that's some feat. It makes me even more excited for whats to come - surely we'll soon find out more about Ben and more reason for us all to be a little bit more sympathetic to the guy..or perhaps the slowly turning screw of decent for Jack and the reasons why he suddenly 'has' to go back to the island. Some cite last weeks episode as being an indication of why - but i'm weary of believing that everything is related to finding a 'constant'. Although I haven't ruled out other mystical options.

All in all it's a difficult episode for me to anticipate at this time - last week blew my mind and the season in general has been A-grade. I just don't know what to expect next, although I do expect us to delve more into Charlotte's backstory before bring us back around to Miles (and possibly Jacob/the whispers) at somepoint soon. As for the character centric..as long as it's not Kates, i'm good

Pretty much the same, really. As long as it's HALF the quality of The Constant, then i'm happy.
I'm hoping for either a Claire centric or a Ben centric (or mayybbeeeee a Juliet centric)

Although nice it is not having a Jack episode its not like we have had Jackless flashforwards this year as hes in everybody elses like a bad smell.

My hopes are for a Ben flashback/forward ... mainly cos i want to know who his man is on the boat.

I would like a Ben-centric episode but Ive got a fealing that it might be a last episode of the series as to reveal a lot

I would really like someone to get that grenade out of Miles' mouth this week. I know the guy's a pain in the neck, but really, nobody deserves that.

Apart from that, I'll be happy with whatever the writers serve up (but if I had a wish, it would be for it NOT to be a Jack flash-anything). Christian, now, that would be a different matter...
