Has anyone tried calling it?
At first i tried 0207-9460893, thinking the 7 in the no was part of the 0207 London dialling code. But there was no change between 1994 and 2004.
So i tried again, this time dialling 0207-79460893 (Didn't think 7 digit numbers existed in 1996, but must have, right? Wud have been i think 0171-79460893)

It is a real tel no, but i only let it ring once, and of course witheld my no. Anyone else brave enuff? Go on!

N.B The Oceanic hotline no was real too. Isn't there smt against using real tel no's in tv/movies? Unless of course their yours.

You should let someone answer as it might be a number set up by the Lost team.

I rang this as it goes and the poor woman who answered the phone said that people keep ringing for 'Penny' but there's no Penny!

(perhaps I should've explained the whole 'Lost 4.05' thing to her?

I thought it would be a number related to find815 or something, but it appears to be an actual number of some poor woman.

people will be calling up going 'Pennneee!!' She could probably sue if she gets too much hassle. they're supposed to check that kind of thing out

I read that it was one of those fake numbers reserved for this sort of thing - a sort of made up number. I guess not

What did you say when you called her Roco? Did you ask for Penny aswell? Oh how funny would it be if the person whose number it was was coincidently called Penny

Woah! That's pretty bad form - TV programmes are supposed to use only a set of reserved numbers precisely to prevent that sort of thing. She could sue.
