I just noticed that Desmonds 'jumps' were not 100% in chronological order. The one where he runs to fone box to fone Penny. Then he is in the yard in rain doing crunchies. Then the next jump is back to Desmond holding his change for the fone box.

Does the jumping being 'out of order' as such, have any significence?

When I watched it, they were in perfect order

- I think he has just got off the floor after being thrown there in the real world

What interested me was the number of occasions that he flipped back and forth in time - I lost count at 8 - anyone know the exact number by any chance?

Smt else i realised, how does Des initially phone Penny in 1996, if she had moved, and he didn't yet know the phone number?

I'm assuming he phoned her on the number that he last knew she had..the one she had before he went gallavanting across the world.
