Default Implications of Faraday's Memory Loss

If you consider Faraday's memory loss to be some form of 'course correction' brought on by Desmond's future-induced appearance, does it mean that anyone who experiences this 'flashforward' (as their past self), damages the people they come into contact with, so the universe can avoid a paradox (e.g. If Daniel had remembered the conversation, there's a good chance the whole situation wouldn't have been possible)?

It would be a grand reason to get people to stay away from the Island, with them being in danger of this happening to them, and as such, negatively affecting other people in the past.

Notably, people suffer no side-effects coming in by submarine, while Minkowski and his pal went nuts just going near the Island? Perhaps with the Swan now gone, and without any vaccine, it's much more dangerous to approach the Island above water now.

It's a good theory, but i dont think it fits. Would charlie not suffer the same problems because Desmond spoke to him in his time travel last season?

Desmond's flashes were quite confusing - we're still not really sure how genuine they were. For all we know, Charlie might have been affected, but obviously, not as much as Faraday would have been, as his contact was minor. On the other hand, he might not have needed any memory-related course correction, because Charlie dismissed him as a nutter and probably forgot about him pretty quickly, not letting him have any impact on his life.

Ok then, what about Micheal and Walt? IIRC Micheal was injected, jack/kate/sawyer were, Walt must have been prepped - incase they were to get off?

Has anyone else considered Daniels lil card experiment in episode previous, was in fact not to do with mmory issues, but he was in fact trying to use his own 'mind skipping/travelling' to remember the cards. He is just having problems with what he remembers from his forward skipping, as we know from Des some memories cross over, some don't.
I reckon this is really what Dan was upto.

I actually think it might be due to the side effects that he mentioned in this episode. I actually think that Faraday has jumped - hence why he forgot certain stuff like Naomis emergancy code re her 'sister'. However, it could be that he wasnt aware of that and is now more aware that he could have jumped already to a point in the future or the past. Its just that he is stuck in this reality longer than Desmond was.
