But compare!
![]() Official 4.03 Episode Rating - "The Economist" Official 4.05 Episode Rating ![]() No I did actually enjoy this episode more than the Economist, a lot more. But I feel it's quite a way off 'best episode evar' to be honest. (I gave it a 9... it is really good still...)I think I'm just a bit wary of them treading into unscientific territory (and straining on pseudoscience).

Yes I absolutely agree with most of the reviews on here. This episode was brilliant and even more so when compared to last week's Kate yawn fest.
Desmond episodes are always consistently excellent; not only do we get very good character development and insight but also relevance to the main plot - in this case it was the time lapse theory. Plus we found out why Des may have been kicked off the army, the Black Rock auctioning, Widmore who bought the journal (why was he bidding for it in the first place? Does this mean he knows some of the secrets of the Island and is one of the men behind the 'other' team of people of have now invaded the island?) Des and Penny's phone scene was moving and kiowa warrior I couldn't agree more: Quote:
Why are the other survivours not given equal screen time when we know their stories are likely to be more interesting than the 'main' 3? This Desmond centric episode was worth 10x more than all of Jack, Kates and Sawyers over stated episodes. I want more please!!! ![]()

From the greatness of this episode, I just knew it had to be a Cuse/Lindelof/Bender effort!
In comparison Sarnoff and Williams let the team down slightly with Eggtown ![]()

Hi All, from a new poster here. Have to agree with the general consensus, that was a storming episode...answered a question or two...while creating about another ten or so that need answering!

I want to give it a second viewing first but I thought it was an excellent episode for any TV Drama (with a tad of Sci Fi of course!).
I'm glad we finally saw the boat. I was expecting not to see the boat for another 2 years LOL! I thought Sayid and Desmond carried the episode well together bringing in the new characters extremely well (no Paulo or Nikki's yet.....well maybe one Nikki would be nice maybe Regina??) I'm liking Frank. I think he really does want to help the survivors rather then leave them behind or kill them (whatever Naomi's mission was). Interesting Widmore Robinson buying the Black Rock book. He must of been doing research in 1996 and stumbled across the island a few years later maybe when finding the location of the wreckage? I also think he gave Des Penny's number for a reason. I was expecting a cliffhanger of Widmore at Penny's house and him listening in to them on the phone but I was wrong!! As I said in the other rating thread I'm not going to say I understood everything of what went on because I don't but then thats why I like Sci Fi as its escape from real life. I'm starting to not like Daniel. I think hes going to use Desmond and Charlotte is so cold (not nice cold like Shannon!!) Hero of the week for me is Sayid - doing the right think for Desmond. Of course, there has to be a connection to Ben's spy on the boat and the mysterious door opening. I can't see Ben's spy damaging communication though. My guess is Ben has a spy but so does his rival (the one Elsa was working for in 4x03 maybe?). I found it odd that Fisher Stevens's character is dead. Why hire an actor like him for such a small role? He has to appear again in the past. Also why didn't Daniel use George as his constant????? Too many questions, a massive headache...I need my bed.
