Each week the staff team take turns in selecting their candidates for Hero of the week. This week, it's my turn...

BENJAMIN LINUS

Despite being incaserated and held against his will Ben continues to maintain good spirits and a non-bitter approach towards his captives. He manages to block Locke's probing in a non-violent and intelligent way, and doesn't spit in Miles' face (many would have) when he tries to blackmail him.

JACK SHEPHERD

Despite his lack of respect towards the law, the Bible(!!) and himself by lying for Kate on the stand, he partially redeems himself by refusing to go home with her. This alone deserves some respect, even if there are other reasons for his refusal. Kate got turned down, that's the important thing.

DIANE JENSEN

Despite facilitating Kate's escaping punishment, Diane at least had the humanity to want to see 'her' Grandchild - It must have been extremely difficult for her to see Kate get away with murder (literally), but she had enough within herself to look beyond what she did. Not many would, so credit to her for that.

And LOL at how Ben is nominated for 'hero of the week' just for acting like a normal civilised human being for once. That's not being a hero! Double standards!! Although as i said, none of these were particular 'heroes' this week...but gosh, you must have been stuck for people!!

Basically for the sam reason as Losty, I don't think the other two deserve it at all.

Considering the way he's be treated, tortured and abused, I think he's behaved remarkably well

I would have said Sawyer. He tried to keep the peace between Locke, his own means and Kate. And had to recover from a slap from Kate.

But I chose Dianne. She gets my respect for letting the case go just so she can see her grandchild but that awful human being Kate declined the offer

A no- brainer. Diane by a country mile. It took a lot of guts for her to be whilling to testify in her condition, let a lone then seek a private auidance with Kate and ask to see her Grandchild, and then not testify anyways.

I'd say Sawyer because her tried to keep the peace, or Kate due to the fact that she couldn't deal with Jack's lies, which shows she doesnt agree with the cover up meaning she cares for the people left behind. That and she has presumably saved Aaron.

Not sure why Ben's up, you could say half of the cast were civilised throughout, IMO Claire was way more civillised than him, she showed genuine care for Kate when locke barged into there home. Also, contrary to him being civilised, Ben tried to manipulate locke again, and was sarcastic in saying he had evolved as locke didn't subcomb to it... he's not a polite fellow is he??

Jack shouldn't be up there, he hasnt done anything heroic

He might have been concerned whether or not Desmond and Sayid were safe, and in fact, whether the freighteers could be trusted, but it wasn't that brave?? He also lied on the witness stand, but i presume he had no other choice.

I think Kate's mum is an interesting characer, i definately wouldn't call her a hero, she's too creepy!

The only reason that she didnt testify against Kate is because she wanted to see Aaron. Which is disgusting seen as Kate wrecked her life for her mother, then she betrayed her.

I'm not really sure who the Hero's are this week, but I'd stick with Kate and Sawyer, so i aint voted cause i cant choose out of the three above

Again, I don't think anyone really earned the title 'hero' in this episode. Lost's rapidly running out of true heroes - perhaps we need a 'Villain' and 'Person who did least harm' title instead .....
