No i didn't guess, it took me completely by surprise! And i am still recovering!! It was a brilliant twist. Although upon watching the episode for the second time, in hindsight, it is actually rather obvious when you already know!!

Well I managed to work out Sayid was working for Ben last week but, yeah I go sucked in to this reveal.. when I saw the kid, and realized he was blonde, I instantly thought, "er, yeah! Clearly Sawyers kiddo!" So I was expecting something like "James" or "Sawyer". But when she said Aaron I remember gasping, slightly...

I guessed once her Lawyer said to use him in the case and then Kate said "You're not using my son."

EDIT: Although....I did think I was wrong in my guessing. When it was revealed as Aaron...i've never gasped as loud

I had *no* *idea*. I'm glad I'm not the only one, cos it actually seems a bit obvious afterwards. But at the time it was a total surprise. So, yes, still recovering....

I actually thought they were going to reveal that Kate had an older son, from way back (although her mum would have known about that). But when the lawyer talked about bringing him into court, it seemed so unlikely that anyone would take a small child into a courtroom, that I thought it had to be an older child, a teenager maybe.

I had a wee inkling but not til quite far through the episode. It seemed clear it wasn't going to be Sawyer's kid, Kate was very sure she hadn't fallen pregnant. (Btw, I've seen a few people question how she was so sure...um, periods boys, they tend to reassure us that we're not cheggers

) And anyway, we 'know' that if she'd conceived on Island then the pregnancy wouldn't have reached full term.

I mentioned this in another thread, but the thing that gave it away a bit for me was the scene when Locke went to the house that Kate and Claire shared. Kate was sitting listening to music and Claire came in and spoke to her. The song playing was Patsy Cline - She's Got You. (See the Kate kidnapper? Thread for the lyrics if you like). I thought this was a pretty big nudge that Kate ended up with Aaron.

So I didn't 'know' in terms of spoilers and still got the effect of the 'reveal' but I wasn't too shocked tbh. I kinda saw it coming.

It took me completely by surprise! Although this completely didn't tie in with Desmond's vision (that Claire and Aaron would fly off together in a 'copter), I immediatly assumed that Claire dies somehow and Kate takes him and claims him for her own.

I also thought it was gonna be sawyer's baby - the fact that Jack was so reluctant to see the baby, we see them (Kate and sawyer) sleeping together again, and the blonde hair of the child all pointed to it - until the moment she said 'Hi Aaron' But it took me a while to figure it was aaron - I actually thought she said 'Hi Erin' until I rewinded that last part again- then I was like duh

THAT was a bit of a shock. Was not expecting it to be Claire's Aaron!! But of course looking back at the scene between kate, Claire and aaron it was too suspicious.

Pre the ending, I thought the baby was Sawyer's, but possibly Jack's from his reaction - and then she said his name and I could not work out what she said until I rewatched it. Even then I had to rewind it just to be sure.

I was sure the baby was Sawyer's - which broke my heart - and so when she said "Aaron" I nearly had a heartattack.

Although I must admit, when Kate was cuddling the baby I did think, "Eee, doesn't that baby look like Claire." But I didn't think it meant anything, I just thought it was amusing. Until the reveal, lol.
