Ok, now I've had time to come to terms with this episode I'm reading to give my thoughts.

It was a good, filler episode. Enjoyable, funny in parts...and a shock ending. All make for an fun episode, but I don't feel like we really got anywhere with the story.

Sure, we learnt that somehow Kate has stol- oops, I mean, gotten ahold of Aaron, and that her mother forgives her - which was interesting.

Sawyer, well, in the thread JB recommended above I gave my thoughts on him, but I did enjoy him in this episode. Not only did we see him in a state of undress, but he made me laugh. Even though he let Kate use him

I thought the other characters - Jack/Jules...everyone on the beach, were a little wasted, but I understand the focus was Kate.

Still a good episode, but not my fave thus far. (I'd give it a 6.5).

Well I was expecting a poor episode after three straight great ones so I feel that it was a little better than I was expecting

To start with I thought it was going to be Locke centric but then I saw the bed and realised straight away he is just in Ben’s bed and we are supposed to think he is in hospital. Then I realised it was Kate centric so I yawned a lot. I was like wow (not) Kate is off the island and she has still murdered her dad and she has a baby (which wasn’t really that much of a shock esp after S3 ending) and oh there is something not straight forward about her baby (ie its not Sawyers) which all in all was pretty boring, pointless and uninteresting so it wasn’t until Jack didn’t appear to be interesting in this child that I did start to get interested in the flash why on earth would Jack not want to see the baby, he doesn’t seem to me the sort to not want to see a child just because of his parentage. The reveal of it being Aaron was really quite scary and the fact that he would appear to believe that Kate is his mother and Jack doesn’t want to see him really does ask the question of what has happened to Claire (her being dead is too straight forward for Lost so I am guessing its not that).

Getting a bit fed up with Locke now, can’t believe Locke let Ben wind him up AGAIN in the same style as before can’t believe Locke let Sawyer con him again in the same style as before all that was all too similar to what has gone on in the Swan before

Really am fed up with Kate and Sawyer I don’t care what they do and don’t get up to. Me also thinks there is a reason Kate knew she wasn’t pregnant ie something happened pre-island where she found out she can’t have children

All in all not a great episode but it could have been worse - I like that its style is in keeping with the previous three (i also think this will be one of those espisodes that improves on a rewatch - well i hope so anyway)

I don’t see how they could have got away with it Claire was what 8 months pregnant at the time of the crash and Kate quite clearly wasn’t. And why do they feel the need to pretend that only so few of them survived ?

I wondered if she felt she had a duty to tell Aaron that he isn’t who he thinks he is because that would also tie in with why Kate doesn’t want to have the contact with her mum that she was trying to achieve pre-island

don’t ask me why but I get the feeling that the money isn’t for him perhaps the odd amount includes his share ?

i enjoyed that episode, apart from the shots of kate looking stunned and being... well, a general nob to everyone. But was she being called Mrs Austen at the trail? does that mean she's married now?
and something must have happened to claire on the island or as they were leaving. fair enough desmond 'saw' her getting on the helicopter, but maybe she fell out or something. I highly doubt kate 'stole' Aaron as she wouldn't even pick him up on the island.
one minor irritation was that Claire seemed all happy and bubbly like usual. She should be crying and mourning and a big teary emotional wreck after finding out about Charlie!! she must be black on the inside

and Locke's goin a tad doolally, isn't he? i've decided i quite dislike him now. he's getting all dictator-like and the grenade thing i thought was disgraceful locke you let me down

Well what can I say - it's Kate! I loved this episode so much! We could see old Kate, one from season 1 again - cautious and austere! Too bad Locke banished her from the village, she could be of use. A part from Sawyer he doesn't have any tough persons there.
Anyway, I love this episode very much.
