Default The Economist: Screencaps, Easter Eggs and Possible Clues

Some of my observations, easteregg observations and possible clues from this episode. Feel free to use and/or expand on any of these caps in this or new threads, if you wish:

Sayid says he prefers the "7 iron" over the 5 iron, which could be a subtle reference to the possibility of 7 people getting 'rescued':

Locke investigates the ash that surrounded Jacob's hut on his previous visit in 3.20, and inset we see that the hut has complete vanished - possibly latching on the Hurley's mindseye when he encountered Jacob and the hut in 4.01:

Sayid noticed that Ben has a copy of the Quran in his collection - obviously of interest to Sayid being a Muslim. Does Ben's knowledge of such a book help Sayid to connect with him - as seen in this episodes flash-forward? Perhap Sayid is suprised that Ben is so worldly.

Sayid investigates Naomi's bracelet, which reads: "I will always be with you, R.G.". The inset shows that Elsa also had a very similar bracelt. Possible connection or allusion.

Franks Chopper has two of the numbers on it's tail - 8 and 48:

Kate sees Sawyer's feet approaching her from under the bed - this scene is near parallel to the scene from Sawyer's childhood when his drunk dad comes home and blows his brains out on Sawyer's bed as he cowers underneath it (inset):

After Sayid speaks to Ben on the phone he picks up some ice and clunthes it formly before dropping it onto the ground - almost as if this symbolises his own contempt for 'selling his soul' and working for his once sworn enemy:

Sayid tells Elsa that her employers name was on a list (given to him by Ben) and that it's nothing personal - this is not the first list that Ben has acted on. In 4.06 and previous episodes he alludes to the idea that the lists are created by Jacob - could this list also be from Jacob..is Jacob off island? Or is this list purely down to Ben? Eitherway the symbolic reference of a 'list' tells us that Mr Aveline probably wasn't the first and wont be the last to be hunted. But for what purpose..to protect the island? Are these people on the lilst Widmore's people?

Ben has money from all around the world - including Euros and Sterlin in this picture. The inset also shows his various passports and his Swiss passport under the alias of Dean Moriarty, indicating he's a powerful mover and shaker off-island as he is on-island.

Elsa says her employer is old fashioned, hence her having to use an 80's pager to contact him. Ben once said that Jacob and Locke are similar in that they both "hate technology" - a potential clue/parallel as to who 'the Economist" is, perhaps:

Naomi's picture of Des and Penny - probably given to her by Charles Widmore, which may tell us that Charles knew full well that he was sending Des to the island - although 'how' he would have know this perhaps presents a stumbling block in this idea, considering he's desperately looking for the island and is struggling to get his people there. Perhaps the suggestion is simply that he has known for some time that Des has been on the island..but this also poses the question as to when and how he discovered this:

Shot of Ben's secret room with all his off-island clothes, money and passports etc:

Shot and various insets of Faraday's payload and the 31 minute time-delay, indicating that perception and reality are disperate in regards to time on and off the island:

Hurley in the wardrobe - a possible parallel to 'The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe" story, where time runs differently in the two worlds in the story - as it appears to do in Lost in regards to the island and off-island:
