Two things Sawyer said that got me thinking...

It's quite hard to work out whether these actually mean anything coming from Sawyer but watching the episode again they kind of stood out for me:

"Well here’s an idea...why don’t we take a gun, point it to his big toe and send that little piggy to market. "

When he said that the first image that came to my head was:

The four toed statue.

I know it probably has nothing to do with it but I thought of all the body parts he could of chosen to inflict pain on he chose the toe and I guess my mind just linked them both together.

He also said

"Why do you want to go back, Kate? Seem to recall you being shuttled off to jail before we landed here."

Well my mind kind of thought didnt they crash there? I mean yeah it does make sense if you say 'landed here' and I get where he'd be coming from but if I'd survived a plane crash I wouldnt be throwing the term landed around lightly. He could of said crashed just as easily, I wouldnt think there's more to it [well there could be] but I just want to know why he couldnt of said crashed. If it had been anyone else I would of been like OMG they said landed but with Sawyer it doesnt seem as abnormal?

idk I'm chatting on now but yeah those two quotes just got my mind thinking abit.

Yeah, it seems like it was a reference to the statue, as if to let us fans know that they haven't forgotten about it. Sharp spot tho

Now this is interesting, I missed that.

This topic has kinda been one of my favourite since Lost began - whether they 'crashed' or 'landed'. Personaly I think they they landed, because they woke up pretty much unscatched - did the Smoke Monster cradle them down to earth and then destroy the fuselage so it looked like an authentic crash? In saying that I also think that they may indeed have 'crashed', with the idea that the island healed all of them thus explaining how they awoke pretty unscathed. Afterall, the island 'brought us all here'..

So basically I can see it being either alternative..and for Sawyer to say what he said, is perhaps a little wink wink to the fans.

Interesting..afterall he and Juliet did have a brief chat about aliens towards the end of S3. You could be right, perhaps he's now open to the idea that anything is possible on this island and that they may not have actually crashed and that someone (or something) may actually have 'brought' (and landed) them there..
