The Others

The fact that we haven't seen them for the first two episodes at all and the fact that they have hardly been mentioned leads me to believe that this is a deliberate attempt by the Lost people to make us forget about them only to bring them back suddenly and dramatically in a twist of fate

So how do you think the others will be brought back? I cannot wait to see the temple if we will indeed get to see this, and maybe this will give us some answers to what the four toed statue is as well...

Wouldn't it be funny if it's not actually a Temple per se, but a ship or something.

Isn't Richard Alpert actor on some new show called "Cane". That may explain it. He was the only speaking part left at other camp. The rest are all dead LOL. We know they are on way to the ruins so I guess we don't need to see them until that part of teh story needs to be explained.

Lets hope Cane is axed fairly soon!!

Don't forget Cinders. Ah yes, the word "ruins" was specifically used wasn't it..seems to confirm that the temple is actually a temple and not a twist of somesort.

Thinking along the same lines as KoR. The 'temple' could actually be a reference to a 'head', so maybe they're going to part of the (4-toed) statue that came off. The rest must be somewhere....

They do like they're double meanings, so you never know...

There are a few unanswered questions about the Others, but they could probably be dealt with through the remaining Others: Ben, Juliet, Alex, Carl. I'd like to see more of Richard, and I'd love to hear Cindy's story - she just got assimilated way too quickly to be a genuine prisoner, in my view - but I suspect we've seen the last of the Others as a cohesive group.

I wondered whether the Temple might be another Dharma station.

I thought that Locke might be going to find the others when he told Sawyer that they were going on a detour. If i was locke I think I would be trying to find them simply for the safety in numbers philosophy. they have all been on the island for a lot longer than any of out losties and know more of its secrets. Plus they probably know where all the big guns are stored!

Seconded, I miss them too actually - particularly Alpert.

They will show up soon surely, we are only two episodes in. Remember it was 2-3 episodes in S3 before we found out what happened to Desmond, Eko and Locke.

We have so many groups on the loose now; Team Locke, Team Jack, Others, Freighters - it will get very interesting when they all collide. Well of course they will not collide all at once but the interaction between all these groups will be great to watch.

i'd like to see how the others react to the freighties. i can't imagine alpert will be too pleased to see them. And when Mikhail shows up - because i can't accept that he's dead, not after all the coming back he's done - there'll be hell on. I'm still waiting for my mikhail/desmond show down.

Well Miles is clearly going to embark on a pyschotic rampage for one thing - he needs to have a good sleep and dream his tensions away.

Unsure as to how the Others will react tbh - frightened? All depends on whether they can defend themselves and 'how' [or 'if'] they can save Ben. I would imagine that is their primary objective here.

i think the others are still a bit hardcore, even if they appeared to be mostly women and children when Locke was with them. Ethan was pretty hardcore and so is mikhail, so i'm guessing they've still got a few tricks tucked under their belts.
