Basically, we don't really have any idea where anything is. It's made more complicated by the fact that the timing between hikes aren't consistent at all. The Hatch was like a day's chase away originally, and later on, it seems about half an hour away from the beach. ![]() However, I don't think it actually is Jacob's hut - I believe it is a physical entity - the one Hurley saw disappeared. However, it's definitely meant to be Jacob's hut, though perhaps just a vision of it. That would be my reason for dismissing it as being the actual Jacob's hut, not the distances/timing, as they're erratic as hell. Quote:
![]() I think the painting looks quite old - could be from the Black Rock. Quote:
Not quite a Dharma Station ending. The best part was the antics trying to get out. The entry was vertical - I could jump down getting in, but to get out, I had to push off the sides with my legs, and shuffle up. (I had a friend around the first time I investigated, before I knew I could get out like that. )Such adventuring. ![]()

Assumed it belonged to the Others, walked calmly away from it (alos because of all the things that have happened with hatches) and then, upon hearing the slightest of rustlings, legged it so fast my asthma would make me collapse (and then proceed to crawl along the ground to get away.)
But... err, yeah... legged it without a doubt. |

I just watched them both an hour ago, rushed home to start posting. After all they have been through, especially Hurley, I would have marched in and sat down next to jacob, and just said "Mate, start at the beggining..."
The cabins mysterious appearances and repappearances through up again, at least for me, the most important question in starting to understand LOST: Hurley's sanity. Is it his mind, or the islands, that do it to him? Especially considering the flash forward with Charlie. Is it Charlie? Its the slap that gets me. And being LOST, surely by logic it has to be. What I would like to see is that scene through looks very two eyes: did he see the hut appear and disappear? How much is locke in the know, and how much is still blind faith in the island? Ultimatly: its all around the hatch imo. I do NOT beleive they spent a whole season in there for it to be meaningless. I think the key to everything happened and is omnipresently emminating from there, deciding the paths people take: and especially Hurley's experiences. First of many S4 posts! w00t!

The panting's origin is anyone's guess - though it has a dog does it not? I think that is a nod to Vincent; somehow.

Approached and had a nosey through the window
Being on a scary island I'd take things with a bit of precaution! Then legged it! |
