I can't get my computer to upload a picture at the moment, but in the opening sequence Hurley crashes his car into a gold car the looks strangely familiar...

I have always had this little thing in the back of my head that this car is not important and has just been put in repeatly because everyone made a big deal of it originally

I would not worry Lauren, it was never a big theory to my knowledge - it was simply something people noticed popping up in some episodes. Though I recall the car not being the same - however the colour was obviously similiar.

It is the same car, because it's a stunt car.It's been used in several important scenes, such as it hit Michael in "Special" and almost hit Locke in "Duex Ex Machina"it's appeared elsewhere, but I don't recall at the moment.

Genuinly, I cannot see a gold car. I see two gold objects bottom left and near-top left but no wheels or anything. I will rewatch that part of the episode and and pause it - if I cannot see it then I am blind. Will get back to you on this.
