We've always had reasons as to how Locke didn't kill anyone... such as Mikhail, who actually didn't die, and while Locke did in fact stab Naomi in the back, which resulted in her eventual death... is it really his fault?

I'm just going off here, but perhaps she could have been treated if he had remained where she was, and told Jack she was still alive, as opposed to...

1. Dragging herself off into the jungle,
2. Turning and going back to make a dummy trail.
3. Going off in another direction.
4. Climbing a tree with a wound.
5. Supposedly pulling the knife out of her own back.
6. Waiting for Kate/Someone to show up.
7. Jump on them
7. and hold them at knifepoint
8. And then construct a complex lie while working on a phone.

None of those things were advisable in her condition. Surely if she just said something to Jack, he could just beat on her until she was ok... that usually seems to work.

...what do you think... is Locke in the clear?

Good point - HOW on earth DID she pull a knife from her own back? Is she that flexible?

This is what I mean about the Naomi plot device - good, but also tinged with sillyness, lol.

..and I agree, Locke could well be in the clear

I think Naomi killed Naomi.

Locke is not very good as killing people is he.

But yes Naomi were awefully silly crawling away though she probably thought hanging around would mean her death. Kudos to her loyalty to people she did not even know [the scene with Kate] - Naomi took her word for it.

I do hope there's a reasonable explanation for this or I won't be that impressed! I didn't dig the Naomi scenes much in this episode. Hopefully the islands healing powers had something to play in it or she's like Mikhael. Otherwise it's a bit silly

Maybe her adrenaline allowed her to do all of this?

Add in the fact she crawled away unnoticed and it is even more silly.

And Charlie would still be alive had someone turned up in a midget sub to rescue him, but no way would Mikhail get off the murder charge. Locke acted with a view to killing Naomi and as a direct result of his action, Naomi died. He's in no sense in the clear. Desperation.

Just like when Mikhail seemed to be instantly dead after going through the sonic fence, no-one bothered to even check Naomi's pulse or anything! I'm not terribly surprised that Jack felt checking basic vitals - or even treating her - wasn't worth a second of his time just so that he could get his hands on the phone first, but surely someone else could have given her a quick inspection. It's just basic first aid!

Yes Locke through the knife in her back most likely with the intention to kill her, but once again I like to blame Jack's negligence as the true cause of her death

I think the point of this is to suggest that naomi was not your 'average girl.' To have pulled this off, she would need to be in peak physical shape, and the way she climbed the tree, disguised her path all suggest serious training (military? or something else). So yeah, i think this is a clever hint as to the background of the new group.

Good thinking. For a long time fans have theorised that the Others had a military background but obviously that was probably not accurate - but you are right re: The Freighters. I doubt they are standard military but rather a secret unit of commando's - a privately funded organisation?
