He looked confused and surprised when it started I thought. As if he was expecting to foresee it, and didn't?

What could this mean?

Yes, he possibly did look surprised, which is interesting cos we know that the rain often means something (either metaphorical, or physical). What intrigued me more, however, was Ben's reaction..(i'll try to make a screencap)

I guess the rain could be, indicative of the division in the ranks - a metaphorical iron curtain..or it could mean Smokey is nearby, or perhaps it just signifies a new start..a new beginning..the beginning of the end..
