better than i was expecting start was good but not up to the season openers we are used to lots of mystery, still got Charlie, probably Hurley's best episode but bonus points go to the fact it was a season opener that wasn't a Jack flash (even if he did feature in it) and Jacob scares me ![]() |

Pretty solid opener.

Yeah that's so true. I couldn't put my finger on why this episode irritated me and that's the reason. Watching paint dry is more interesting than watching Hurley. I gave it a 6.

Although on the cover this looked an outstanding episode I was let down with the whole Naomi/kate plot. Personally I thought that was completeely pointless and just showed Kate up to be a knowitall thief.

To be fair, she only appeared a "knowitall" because Jack was being a plank. A monkey could have worked out what Naomi did.

I thought it was stunning! And that's really saying something given it was Hurley-centric (usually cue yawn) and the amount of Jack in it (to be expected though and so can be forgiven). It could really have gone either way, in that the anticipation from waiting so long for it could have resulted in a huge anti-climax...but quite the opposite. It did have quite a different feel to it from the other 3 seasons...that could have been due to the flashforward as oppose flashbacks we're used to, but I felt it was just more...intense...or something. Nice dark feel to it, while at the same time throwing up a few more juicy questions.
I loved it, so I did! I'll say an 8, the optimist in me is holding back from going higher and hoping I'll need the 9s and 10s in due course. ![]()

I've gone for an eight, in my opinion it was so much better than the last fifth of season three. Locke was back on top form again and, thankfully, given both things to do and things to say that didn't just revolve around Ben. The tension acting between Terry and Matthew was done really well and "you're not going to shoot me any more than I was going to shoot you" had me in stitches. I also really enjoyed Jorge's acting here, it shone through like the whole "I'm sorry I forgot the blankets" did.
There was a little bit of mystery, but not much and I think I'm going to get very sick of flash-forwards, very quickly. I still want answers about backstories! (Mainly, how did Sayid get out of Iraq and what was the Tampa Job) but it remained interesting enough for now. Plus there wasn't very much Juliet and that can only be a good thing! |
