I think it's a red herring though. It doesn't make much sense for Christian to be Jacob, considering he's only been dead for 100 days.
I think that, based on the Missing Pieces episode where it seems the Black Smoke is appearing as Christian, this is merely the Black Smoke appearing in human form - for some reason. Also, while Christian rocks in the chair, the previously seen eye of Jacob pops up at the window (or it's Locke's, but I don't think so).

yeah he was listed on the credits. i went mad when i noticed him though, i was nearly bouncing around the living room! i dont' think christian is jacob, as i've posted somewhere else, but i don't think Jacob actually has a form. Maybe he just improvises?

and as for the eye, i really want to think it's Locke.

I'm not sure whether the eye is Locke's or Jacob's old S3 eye..perhaps that in itself is a clue..

However, what I actually think is that Jacob 'borrows' bodies. Jacob seems unable to exist in one place for very long..I'm guessing that he borrows dead bodies to physically manifest. He needs help, if he had a physical body, surely he wouldn't be so desperate for this help..

However, it's very clever of them to use Christian in this way..especially considering the last Mobisode..

I'm guessing we'll eventually see Jacob appear as Yemi or another island-dead person. Although in saying that I do believe that there is a difference between Jacob's manifesting, and the subconscious-island driven visions.. It's almost like there's several tiers of manifestations..or perhaps they're all linked to the minds eye and they're all one in the same thing?

Although Charlie seemed to be 'Charlie', which would suggest that the dead are able to exist behind the metaphircal curtain. Perhaps Jacob (or the island) is just able to borrow their physical body for a short period of time - this could certainly explain the deviation in 'island Yemi's character..
