I like that they used Ben to narrate again - they used him for Lost: The Answers - the last recap show which funnily enough was also not shown on TV in the UK to my knowledge. Anyway, I think he is a great choice.

Ah yes, they did use him last season didn't they - I agree, a good choice. Couldn't really imagine anyone else doing it, although I would be intrigued as to how Terry O'Quinn would sound doing it

I've seen the first 20 minutes of this and I have to say I'm glad I did - it's well worth watching, even for Lost fans who aren't new to the show. The things Emerson refers to and the emphasis he puts on certain words really make me consider whether it's just his creative dialogue, or whether they told him to make certain parts carry more weight!

I'll try to think of an example..right now I can't really think of one..t'is all a blur!

Terry would be another great choice I agree, though Michael is more articulate and has better pronunciation - a better choice I feel.

I would imagine Michael has been told to emphasise certain things otherwise such things would be edited out. But I agree, I remember similiar emphasis in the last Recap show and it is very interesting stuff. I would hate the Recap shows to be filled with annoying hints and spoilers which is interesting because the producers appeared in past Recap shows - however they were always tight-lipped.

Yeah, I think it's from his theatre background - he's very well spoken and I get the impression that he understands the mechanics of the spoken word very well.

I too would hate for a recap to be full of spoilers - having waited all thise time to be ruined by a recap would be a killer. Thankfully this one seems to be just a delicious recap..although I haven't seen the 'future' part yet as it cut off after they reshow Ben putting Locke in that ditch

I haven't seen all of it either... but what I saw of it was good. (Mine ended at the beginning of TTLG.)

Michael Emerson is perfect for it, but I can imagine Terry O'Quinn doing it easily too. As Reed pointed out, he's not as articulate due to his accent, but his voice-work is still excellent regardless.

That could be it, or it is simply in his nature i.e. even as a child. He definitely has a way with words, almost like a posh American-British accent.

I think in that case I would need to avoid yet another media source - I already avoid Podcasts, though only the Official Podcasts contain spoilers I think. I would not imagine them giving anything away in the "Future" part except to question the apparant people arriving to the Island and ask the viewers questions. I wonder whether Locke will kill Ben? - it is unforgiveable surely?

Still though, Terry is quite well spoken - well when compared to the likes of Naveen or Josh; though that is not really a great compliment is it?

Heh, I saw it. It was pretty good. Although it was odd hearing Ben speaking from the lostie point of view. "when will they get off the island?"

I also saw the special edition of TTLG... which was lulz worthy to say the least.
The fact that the episode started with the caption "This is a flashforward" was hilarious. Consider yourselves lucky you didn't have to watch it.

I really want to listen to Darlton but upon recently listening to their S3 podcasts they included things which had I heard at the time, i would not have liked to have known. That's the dilemna for me. I hope they change their stance and give less away as i really would like to listen to them - if only for their comical banterings (and creative minds). Actually they might change their approach this season because they were very upset about the spoiler epidemic which broke on some fansites near the end of last season - it caused their, now famous, "radio silence".

I guess they tried to make it accessible for new fans, but that does seem a bit much
