Proof The Others Are Lying To Locke!?

I was watching the Brig again today, when i noticed something quite shocking that i'm not sure if anyone else picked up one. Cooper said that he was doing 70mph in Tallhasse when he crashed, the ambulance man smiled at him and put in an IV, next thing he knew he was on the island. Then i remembered when Locke was holding Ben captive in his house. Ben radio'ed Richard and said 'Bring in the man from Tallhasse,'

So is it possible that the ambulance man was Richard and that the IV contained the drugs which were put in Juliets drink? Then when he was sedated he was transported to the Island. The Tallhasse connection is rather convincing and whether your Pro-Lostie, or Pro-Other, you have to admit something is strange about this...

Oh and The others would be lying because they are telling Locke about a magical box, I know its a metaphor, but they could be trying to convince locke that he is 'special' so that they would join him...

It seems pretty definite that Cooper didn't get there by supernatural means.
Either some organization or person done it on behalf of the Others/Ben/Locke, without any of them explicitly asking for it, or Ben's actually lying, and asked for him to be brought to the Island just to put Locke through his mind games.

I don't believe Ben actually asked for him... though it's certainly possible (Ben makes a point of not directly lying - and he would be in this case), but I believe that either Hanso/Mittleos/Whatever provided him, perhaps with information gathered from the Black Smoke's apparent analysis...

Well yes it is entierely possable. I belive that the others etc are able to operate in the outside world and infiltrate society, so to me it is enterly feasable that they could pull off such a stunt.

Yeah - if Locke's mind had just magiced Cooper onto the island, how would the Others know him as 'the man from Tallahassee'? He didn't actually live there, did he?

For some bizarre reason, I can't help but think this is linked to that other car crashing, I think its on the examinations section, where we can't see the other car.

The Others do have access to files/data on people..if he was doing business there then they could see that this was his last known movement before Locked subconsciously willed him to the island..

Nice idea but Claire wasnt even pregnant when this happened..the timelines dont match up - Cooper only recently came to the island..also Claire was on Oz when she crashed..not Tallahassee.

Well that doesnt make much sense, given we know that Ben is a liar, why cant we suggest that he's lying to locke? Cooper doesnt even have a job does he? I doubt he was doing business.

Cooper said he was driving down a road in tallahassee, im not exactly sure were tallahassee is but is it in the south of america? Because cooper does have an accent a little like sawyers. The only logical reason is that they referred to him as the man from tallahassee because thats were they swiped him. Saying that, lost isnt very logical is it?

Simple as. The truth is found inbetween the lies. A little white one here and there: everybody is constantly adding them in coversation to try and bring the person they are talking to's sympathy, empathy, forgivness, and lessen the blow of things.

Everyone is constantly trying to manipulate other people to say what they want them to say. Everyone wants a perfect world.

So how do you detirmine the truth? Is it just the bits you want to hear, or the reality? Locke has to make up his mind. So whats he done so far? Disbelief Ben but beleive the other others? Some kind of vendeta? Now I aint no fan of Bens actions: Im picking out the realitys here.

Its a harsh enviroment, that of the subconsious thought into others words. To detirmine an educated guess on how much, whever there is proof, not only do we need to examine the words the character uses, but majorly there body language: its 90% of communication. Only through that, and through that only, can we come near guessing. My guess is as equal as any - but that is an ideal, which is wrong. Via the way some give there opionions across, some will seem more convincing than others. To gain true imparitailty is impossible.

So, IMO? Yeah they are all lying: but lying in an attempt to put Locke on the right path

Im not saying they are doing a good or bad thing. Losties or Others? Im more inclined Losties, but only just.
