OMG - Is this the REAL Mother of ALEX!??

Ok, so i dont know if this has been mentioned already - im playing catchup here so apologies if it has.

Anyway, i was picking up where i left off with the examinations and i noticed some interesting things in Bens home (3x13)..one of them being a painting..of a woman..and what im wondering is how significant this is:


Ignore the other arrows (theyre for the examinations) focus on D if you will..what im wondering is, could this woman either be

A: Alex' REAL mother?

B: Bens lover?

C: Eve from the cave?

I mean it's a pretty big picture in a fairly prominent position, so it makes me think that this person is someone important in Bens life..hold on, ive just thought of another option..could it be:

D: Karen DeGroot?



It kinda looks like her (imo)..could Ben and Karen have been lovers..or perhaps..perhaps this is:

E: Bens MOTHER

She looks like Abi Titmuss

I would say she was his wife and that she died in her 2nd trimester and given my theory that all these women who are dying were carrying Ben's child I would say her death was the start of "it" all

I like the idea of it being Bens wife starting it all EC.

But to be honest, I dont think it is Alexs real Mum I reckon it could be maybe Bens Mum or Karen de Groot. But to be honest not really sure

Good idea..perhaps she died like all of the other women...perhaps she was one of the "nine".. or perhaps her death pre-dates Jules being on the island. It would certainly give Ben more sympathy i feel. Infact my heartstrings are tugging already

Sorry, i jhavent got a vendetta against R-So..i just dont trust he very much. Tho to be fair to her, Alex does kinda look like her (but then sodoes Kate).

I suppose what im doing is merely posing the question..i believe that every scene in Lost is a set-piece with hidden clues and answers..

I suppose the women being Ally's real mom is just one of 5 possible suggestions that i posed..who knows..

I like the Karen idea. How old do we suppose Karen is or would be by now? 70..80 years old?

WHich would mean that she could well be the age of someone who could birth Ben.. I think the mother angle is best at this juncture. Of course whether his mom is Karen or not is another matter completly

I have been giving this one some more thought and came up with - she is no one - Ben kidnaps Alex from Danielle takes her back to Othersville says to all Others I shall bring this child up as my own we will tell her her mother died get me a picture of some random woman to hang on the wall so we can tell her that the woman in the picture was her mother then if she ever bumps into Danielle in the jungle Alex will just think she is a mad woman and nothing more


Just realised whilst typing this (i know i am a bit slow) but its odd how Danielle calls her Alex and so does Ben it would have made more sense for Ben to re-name her
