I give it a good solid 8/10 only let down by the ending of the flame being blown up by a really dumb Locke.

It seems so strange when usually in lost the finding of a hatch and a possible dharma employee would be stretched out for months but its all done with in one hour but like most Sayid episodes - its the point of the season when things hot up.

i thought parts of it were a 7 some were an 8 and other bits were a 9 so i have averaged it out at an 8

A very solid 8, and if I hadn't initially been shaking my head in dispair at Locke it would have been a 9.

It had a good mix of action, light hearted action and more revelations and discoveries to think about. The only negative issues I have with this episode are pretty minor ones, which include Locke not being protrayed as well as he should be, Pointless Kate, a waste of Ms Klugh and not enough Danielle.

7 I think. I enjoyed it although found the flashback slightly boring, even kind of pointless.

So did Sayid really torture that woman or just say he did to give her peace of mind? That confused me a little.

Good island action though

that confused me as well

I am assuming that he just said it becuase he could see it would give her peace of mind and that she would possibly let him go

but then again i thought did he wait until her husband wasn't present before telling the truth because her husband would be less reasonable

I enjoyed just about everything about the epiosde. I liked how we saw the flaws in the personalities of our losties (e.g. Locke's love of computers :P and Sayid's past). I loved the beach action and i thought the flashbacks were heart renching and it was sad when i thought that Sayid was now a permenantly flawed man for his sins.

My main problem with the episode was it's general lack of direction (imo) and predictability.

Once again the losties found an item of interest on the island (this is becoming such a regular occurance that i wouldn't be suprised if they find a hotel by the end of the series). The other thing that nagged at me was the whole idea of going north, finding the flame and then leaving! Why? Did they suppose this is what Eko wanted them to fin? I don't know, it all just seems a tad too conveniant for my liking. Also the death of Ms Klugh seemed rushed and pointless. If you ask me she wanted to leave the show hence her lack of presence in this series thus far and her quick death.

Still the main action was good, maybe i was just a little tired last night and my vision of it was marred. some what.

No I think your spot on Verix. It was a little rushed and convienent at times. I mean now they have the barracks to go to. So next epsiode. See barracks which is being armed. Sayid offers to speak to him - is shot. They take over the place. Locke finds a computer, plays space invaders, reveals more Hanso stuff and the place explodes. Episode end

also glad April Grace has gone. He name was similar to Maggie's so its like oooohh Shannon is in it...oh no its just mrs Klugh

As Brad knows there was a stupid IMDB rumour that Shannon was in this episode so they saw the name Grace and over acted.

I give it a 7/ 10, I didn't enjoy the scenes at the farmhouse and I'm afraid the Danielle scenes and the flashbacks saved it I think. I gave it such a high mark because it's the first Sayid centric that i've enjoyed.

8 but I'd give it 8.5 if i could. I really enjoyed this episode. Good all round action like Lost of old and the distinct impression that things were moving along in the right direction. Progress, the search for answers, excellent performance by Naveen...all good reasons to enjoy it. Absloutely bloody brilliant to have Locke back on the scene although marred slightly by the writers attempts to make him look like a buffoon.

Note to writers: You can try but you will not succeed!

But all in, a fantastic episode!

Twas brilliant, it had me on the edge of my seat the whole way through! The eyepatch guy was pretty cool, though I'm still a bit confused as to who he actually is.

Gotta be an 8. It was really good how they managed to fit it all into the space onf one hour, and for once, i enjoyed a Sayid flashback
