I give it a 6/10.

I thought the build up with Jacks escape extremely good stuff but the rest of the episode left me feeling dissapointed considering it was the fall finale episode. As a filler it would be okay but I did not like:

The Locke/Sayid scenes and Eko funeral was rushed to fit around the Kate scenes - Paulo said nothing and Nikki 2 lines. Desmond was pointless too.

The flashback was dull. Nathan Fillion looked bored and not his usual energetic self. Good to see Marshall again but he was wasted IMO. So what Kate is on the run story again. Yawn yawn yawn. Give us something new. We knew Kate had been married but I thought it would be bEFORE she went on the run so we see a different side to Kate (one I can like maybe!!!)

The cliffhanger - what a waste. Had it been a normal episode then fine but as a finale it was crap. I like Jack now but I doubt Sawyer will die and Kate was just over acting.

I know sawyer fans are eagarly waiting the next episode but to me its like:

"okay lost back in February. I can wait".

The episode did not make me go

"AWWW CRAP FEBRUARY THATS AGES AWAY". Thats how I know how disappointed I am.

I'm voting 8 because the whole operation with Ben left me on the edge of my seat. In fact I'm still almost on the edge of it - it took me from great anger at Jack, to considering that I may actually like him one day, to even greater anger at Jack.

I thought Josh's acting was really good in the episode and Evangeline had got better as well.

And I didn't mind Kate's flashback - it was the most original one of her's since Tabula Rasa so it was watchable.

7 - for me that's maybe a bit harsh, but i felt a little dissapointed with some aspects.

Locke and Sayid were boring and bland, i felt it didn't really progress much of the story lines, apart from Locke re-affriming his position as leader.

Kate's flashbacks were nothing new, she'd on the run but she was once in love. I liked the sentament but i don't feel it should have taken up a whole epiodes wort of flashbacks.

I did like Kate and Sawyer's bits. Thought it was nice to finally have them getting togethor.

I also loved Jack in the episode, he suprised me and i thought his decision was brilliantly thought out and worked really well. Of course the fact that they can't actually run anywhere so

Still most of the episode seemed to be waiting for the big finale.

I think that there was a bit of purpose in this scene. I said in the episode discussion thread that I think it may be indicative of Locke's future as a character that he tried to give Eko the cross in TCOL as a sign that he should look towards peace but when that didn't work he has now given him the Jesus stick, the symbol of Eko's anger (although it does hold some of his religious aspects.) I'm wondering now if Locke will bypass the peaceful methods for something more alike war.

I gave it a 7 as thought all the stuff with jack and the operation was brillant but the tedious kate flashbacks let the ep down as didnt really add anything to kates story.

I was one of them who voted 10, didn't have time to explain earlier was rushing to get ready for college.

In all honesty I can't remember a great deal about this ep cause I watched it a few weeks back and haven't had the chance to watch it again, but I remember thinking it was a fantastic ep. I'll post what I posted somewhere else after I saw it last month:

Absolutely loved this episode. I think it's a great way to end the mini-series. Jack was actually likeable! Maybe he's upping the badass-ness to try and impress Kate now he knows about her and Sawyer Nah not really, but I am liking him taking his rage out on the others; he's more likeable when he's barking orders at them as opposed to Locke or Kate etc.

The final scenes were fantastic! I loved the music, loved the tension - Sawyer and Kate with the guns to their heads oh my lord I was in tears - thought Sawyer was actually going to be killed off for a split second. I was all surely they can't, no they won't.....oh no they might do! They are! *insert radio static thing* *phew*. Seriously though it was highly emotional. Everyone involved acted their socks off.

I didn't mind the flashbacks, in fact I quite liked them. Kate's story is always interesting and it was nice to find out about her marriage. Kept thinking I knew that Kevin (it was Kevin?) guy from somewhere then realised it was the guy from Serenity. I thought the final scene between the two of them was really sad with her drugging him and leaving him.

And of course; Sawyer & Kate. Let's just say I'm happy Someone owes me an Apollo bar

Can't wait until February now, Locke's master-plan?

That was gut reaction after seeing it, so yeah a 10. I really did love the whole Pickett/Sawyer/Kate scene in the rain and then the cuts between that and Jack/Ben etc.

i gave it a 9. i agree that desmond was wasted and they COMPLETELY rushed eko's scenes. also flashback boring. but i still thought the jack/kat/sawyer etc stuff was amazing , hence the 9

I'd give this episode a very solid 8.

I thought the Jack/Ben operation saga was done very well and had a great deal of tension to it, as was the question of whether Sawyer was going to be shot or not. And even though it was brief and really should have been longer, I liked Locke and Eko's funeral.

What put a check on the excitment of this episode for me was the utterly boring flashbacks...I didn't think that Kate's could get any worse, but oh how I was proved wrong! All that her flashback showed us was that she was still on the run and that she was still being chased. There were a decent few minutes with Mars in it, but the rest was just tedious.
And it's now been four episodes since he's made an appearance, and Paulo is still as pointless as ever!

I'd give it a 6. It was okay but nothing special. I completely agree with everything Abbot has said.

What was the point in the flashback? It told us nothing of relevance that we didnt already know, completey pointless.

The whole eko funeral scene just looked like it had been rushed because the writers wanted it out of the way. Really poor sloppy writing where that was concerned. A character like Eko deserved a better farewell. The message in the scripture was good and I'd like to find out what is 'north', but out of that whole scene a message on a stick was the most exciting Come on Writers.

Jack's story was by far the most exciting and interesting and the only reason I gave this eppy any points. He's been the standout character so far this season. They way he has evolved into a manipulating do whatever it takes guy has been great to watch.

Also, the way Kate managed to break that padlock and get into Sawyers cage was just stupid, how easy was that?

Good points were Alex and her little catapult thing, message on the stick and Jack. Other than that, another dissappointing eppy IMO.

9. I found it to be a really interesting episode. I know Beachy won't be happy with a few scenes .

It was a really good cliffhanger to leave us with untol February, but it makes me wonder if Ben will did because I think something might go wrong with the walkie talkie.

It was pretty rubbish considering it was the end of the series though. Kate episode bore the life out of me!
