it's a good idea but I don't think they'd do that. They are very aware of the fan community and know they their reputations would plummet if they ended to show in such an evil manner. The show will have invested peoples energies for 6 years by the time it ends, and they know that fans want a big payoff.
As i said, i do like the idea and also believe that it could be something 'twisty', but i'm not sure if they would self-indulge by including themselves in the ending - it would be like crossing a line and indulging too much in their own work.
That said, i do think that the ending of Lost will carry a social comment..perhaps on
technology or something. So who knows, now that you've put this idea out there you should certainly continue to look for evidence and develop it further as time goes by
