This is a wonderful thread, and I have so much to say, so we might be here for a while. Also, it's been a sunny day of garden partying, so yeah...
From sort of mid-season 3 I've kinda had a thing for Sawyer and Juliet. Originally, the idea came from "Aww, wouldn't they be beautiful together" and then at the end of season three, well, boy did that change. I think if nothing else, Sawyer and Juliet might have a brilliant friendship. I think their teasing, almost flirting, attitudes towards each other would be a fun thing to explore.
As for a relationship, I think as the above have suggested, something could happen purely because of the bottle of rum and they're both looking for comfort.
However, I think depending on how long the two of them are alone together this will influence which way their relationship goes. I imagine anger and lots of arguing and them both being bitter about being left behind. However, I think eventually one of them will break, perhaps cry, and the comfort begins (
gets an idea for a fic).
On a selfish level, I'd love to see them together, but whether it would work in the long run, I'm not so sure. I think, as mentioned, it would be filled with arguments - but heck, there's nothing wrong with a good passionate relationship.
I also feels this needs to be discussed more *Looks pointedly at other forumers*
