Ok, so I'm going to attempt the spoiler thing. If it doesn't work...well, yeah.
I thought it was good, not great but good. I enjoyed it, and laughed quite a lot, and swooned, and cried

but I thought the ending let it down. It all started so well too.
The most enjoyable part of the night was the company. I spent the first quarter of the movie screeching "Janitor!" to one friend, debating with another whether Mr. Widmore had just been on screen, and then most of the movie trying to convince a friend that Shia LaBeouf is the same guy in Transformers - she still doesn't believe me

. Also, the atmosphere. I've never been to a cinema showing like this before. People were shouting at the screen, things like "Why did it have to be snakes!" , and cheering Indy on, and everyone applauded (albeit lightly) at the end, lol. It was so fun. Anyways...the movie...
I thought the only things that seemed in keeping with the 50s (?) theme were the
aliens a la Roswell and Mutt constantly combing his hair. That was a great touch I felt - especially when he and Indy first meet and
they're in the diner - the fight between the Jocks and the Bikers was well played, lol.
I should add that Shia LaBeouf was perhaps one of the best things in the movie. I thought he played brilliantly against Harrison Ford, and his acting was great - very funny. Also, being me, everytime Mutt started to cry, well, I got slightly emotional. Especially that
one damn tear rolling down his cheek - killed me.
Harrison was great, nice to see him back as Indy. Ray Winstone (sp) - I could've done without him, and the actress who played Marion was wasted. Also her character has changed completley - what happened to the fire?
I know some people hated it, but I liked how most of the special effects were in-keeping with the old school style. It made it feel like it was filmed back with the originals.
And then the end
ALIENS! Why. It was fine when they were crystal skulls, but then going all the way with the UFO and the Alien - I hated that part. I know it was supposed to link to the Roswell stuff but meh. I quite liked the wedding, and I thought the hat at the end was really clever. I loved the hint that one day Shia might take over, and I actually would quite enjoy that. Say if they changed it up, set it in the 60s and let him lead. Brilliant.
Overall, I'd give it about 3.5/5 as I enjoyed it but thought it could be better, but then again - was it ever going to live up to the hype.
Phew, I think I wrote too much
