I certainly agree with the notion of ressurection - although of the spiritual kind. I've long been an advocate that the island itself is able to manifest as the deceased..those who have either died on the island, or like Christian, those whose bodies end up on the island.
I also believe that the spirits..or souls of the dead also offer us a distingtion, in that they themselves are reborn if you will..and can communicate with the living via their connection to the subconscius of these people - a connection which can manifest as dreams, visions, whispers..
I also think that it would be interesting and perhaps revealing to combine this notion with the idea of 'time-loops' (which I personally believe exists in the real of Lost). As when someone dies, do they return to the next iteration..the next loop? If so..could we say that they return as a blank slate..able to make the same or different mistakes..unwitting of their previous actions (except from the faint impression that past loops have placed upon them - i.e. dejavu)..whilst their actual 'spirit' goes elsewhere. In the case of those who die on the island (or whose bodies end up there), perhaps they reside behind the curtain in a kind of 4th dimension..a dimension which opens up it's connection every now an then (hence 'whispers')..and which people like Miles can channel/tap in to.
Anyway, interesting topic, I certainly agree that Locke will be ressurected in some form, if his body is returned to the island..perhaps in Jacob-type form
Welcome to the forum btw!
